Some time ago there was a Gothic amulet contest,in wich you had to draw a Sleeper amulet.Because it is related to Arcania,I am quessing that the amulet will appear in the game,maybe like a quest item.They most probably would not have made this contest if it were not to appear in the game with some important role.I don't know if this was asked before,but is it posible that when the Nh and Xardas went in the dimension in the Unknown Lands,The Sleeper started to posses the hero's soul and mind,and tricked him into believing that wath he was doing was for peace and a the grater good.With the hero's body,and an army of soldiers and paladins,The Sleeper could easily RULE THE WORLD!!!!!All hail the Sleeper.Just kiding,didn't mean to scare you.So,opinions...

But look in G1 andf G2 at all those people that got screwed up because of the Sleeper.He is not a god,just an archdemon,but a powerfull archdemon,and an archdemon that managed to impress Xardas,who at first wanted the Sleeper's dark power.

if he managed that when he was sleeping,to capture the souls af a few dozens,just imagine wath he could do to our nameless.There were a lot of speculations about the Nh's actions in Forsaken Gods and Arcania,some even claimed that he was possesed.This all sounds very disturbing,poor guy,we should call an exorcist.

I see where ur headed. but we must expect Beliar to have atleast one more of these. And the sleeper was just a name they gave him back in the colony. So saying - the sleeper might appear as a big bad in ArcaniA is very wrong. on any other terms though, you are right.
Now i haven't played FG. But i do belive the gods are gone, so what happens to an immensive beast in an alterante dimension together with alot of other powerfull and large beasts that have always been almost directly controlled by Beliar and suddenley their not?

EDIT : then again most of the dark minions might not be able to think/work on their own. or even exist. Only one thing is certain : we DO not know nearly enough about Gothic's lore to be completely sure about anything.

It was all too good to be true.But still there has to be some mysterious force behind the Nh action's.Either that or he completely lost it.But here is another thing,Xardas said once that the banishment of the gods would only work if they both left the Known World.But the nameless came back,and I don't recall in the Fg intro him clossing the portal,and wath on earth happened with the Staff and Scepter,the source of the gods power on earth.Just because those indians(I have nothing against them)forgot to tell us something doesn't mean that it can't happen.I mean,remember the dragons when they first appeared,no one knew about them,they didn't seem to fit in the whole gothic thing,but hey...The same with the Ancient Ones.Now we have a new fresh start,so anything can happen...

Acording to the Book of the stars the appearance of a great demon can only take place when the ancient balance of powers is broken and the cosmic boundry between the dimmensions of Mordrag and demon world is weakened. This happens once a hundread years so it is higly improbable that any arch deamon could not be summoned.I don't see what enemy will we have in the game other then the nameless... or maybe Xardas.As Thronir sed they are the only ones with divine powers flowing through their veins.

A side quest mentioning that more Arch-demons like the sleeper or even the sleeper himself is trying to get back into (never remember the name ) the world would be neat. also a side quest where you could actully stop him form entering the world again(or someone for the first time) but not any cheesy World of Warcraft shit. maybe jsut, destroying an artifact or stopping a cult or some orcs or something. but having huim actully return to wreak havoc upon the land, or posing him as a large fiend...... ehr.. it would just be wrong IMO

You are right,we should not expect too much,but even mentioning him a little bit is still better than not mentioning him at all.A heard somewhere that they will mention wath happened to Khorinis after the Nh left...I never liked the idea that those orcs captured the island,brought only Thorus to the mainland,and that is it,no other information...I mean come on,Pb could have done better than this,2 games were held in Khorinis and all they can say about it is that it got raped....Sorry for my bad temper.Anyway you get the idea,if Spellbound wants something done right they should focus a lot more on the gothic-lore and on the story,than making water puddles more ecxiting,but I still have hope.

I just imagine myself going to one of the Witches to get a package of herbs for Murdra,and I find on an alchemist's bench the Sleeper amulet,I recieve a new quest involving me fiding more information about him and the new King of Myrtana and Grandmaster of the Order of Innos,the mysterious Rhobar the Third(witches and herb packages,now those were the good old days)

There that settles it,but who knows wath could happen,some outer force could still posses a soul without having to exist in the Mordrag.My only hope now is that there is some cool idea going in the minds of the devs,something neat,but lore-friendly.

Yes my friend, at least they could do now is make a good story based on the gothic lore.They already made a mmo-type of game so my only hope reamains with the creativity of a great story
