I'm currently doing this quest, already escorted the group of slaves to the tunnel (mine) and my problem is that the mission doesn't get accomplished and the main slave stays in the hero's party. I might have figured out what to do, if I had an entry in the questlog about this particular task given by Vasco, but all I have is what the hero told the slaves, so could anyone who finished the mission please tell me what to do with the main slave?

EDIT: unfortunately it didn't work. I've been to every part of the tunnel with the slave and nothing happened.

I, too, had problems with this quest.

I finally managed to complete it only when the main slave walked a particular area in the cave. Make sure all the slaves are in the cave. Iirc, they start working with pickaxes as they reach their cave spot. For the main slave I had to get out of the cave, search for him near Lago, an guiding him again.
If he gets to the cave and starts to work, talk to him. (Or does he talks automatically with you? Can't remember.)

Well, I got him into the cave and the problem is that nothing further happens. he stays in the hero's party and keeps follownig me around. All the other slaves are already inside working.

EDIT: I tried walking aruond the cave with him to no avail. At some stage he just starrts backing away and out of the cave, so I follow him(last time I let one go he got lost or stuck in the wall and i couldn't find him afterwards). He stops and follows me again.

K. I'll try some other things. One more question: is the quest important if we want to get to Ishtar as a hashishin ally or can I skip it since it causes so many problems and lose reputation relevant only in Ben Erai?

After completing the quest you'll get a letter from the boss in Ben Erai, what you'll have to bring to Bakaresh, and there you'll get a lot of reputaion with the Hashishin, so it's important.

oh joy i finally managed to accompish that pain-in-the-ass quest. You actullay have to grt the slave in the corrsect place in the cave AND tell him: here we are now. If you don't he'll simply keep following. Solutuion for future generations : [Bild: my.php?image=slaveai7.png]
