Hello. I have problem with converting Orctempel.zen from G1 to G2. All time when i try open converted zen in Spacer from G2, i get that error which i add to Attachments. What i do:
1)I unpack Worlds.vdf from G1 and copy Orctempel.zen to work\DATA\Worlds\_work (G1 folder)
2)Open ORCTEMPEL.zen with Spacer and save zen as compiled ascii.
3)Copy saved zen to folder with GothicZEN_x64
4)Edit batch file as:
GothicZEN.exe 108 26 ORCTEMPEL.ZEN ORCTEMPEL_G2.ZEN
PAUSE
5)Then i start example file, which create second .zen file.
6)At least i copy created .zen to OldWorld folder in G2 and try open it with using Spacer2. But after choose this zen i get error same as in screen.
What i doing wrong?
I can reproduce the crash. I'll look into this the next few days! (Or in 2 weeks, when I'm back home)
Edit: And I probably found the issue. There can be more nested vobs than I thought (and I never tested the converter on Orctemple since I already had it converted another way), specifically zCCamTrj_KeyFrame. Then the tabs are malformed when I add the missing archiver values, and everything breaks.
It was not the tabs, even though that's fixed now as well (in a rather hacky way, but oh well, I'm too lazy to implement a proper way to parse the vob tree).
I was skipping reference vobs (§ 0) when "parsing" (basically just reading it line by line) the vob tree, now they're included (and the world can be loaded).
I'll update the main post with a fixed version in a few minutes ... Edit: And done! Hope it works now on your end.
Oh boy, there are some really odd problems with the "§" in my source code file ... I had a version that worked correctly, and then something broke there - I replaced the v0.3 zip with a version that now should work correctly - because this time I actually tested the produced .exe :P
Now it's convert correctly So if someone create tool, which transfer scripts after compile world beetwen game version, modding should be so easy :P Because actually zen work, but player must delete inserted items and create a lot of trigger scripts :P Anyway, good job man. This version should be big help for modding =)
Yes ... that would be great. Fiddling with compiled scripts is far beyond my area of expertise though, I'm currently having similar problems there with Black Ops II.
