ok same problem with it being normal khorinis exploration theme. All other places are playing the correct theme. I'm going to try reinstalling everything from my old 3 cds and I'll get back to you.
-
Remember, if you have one clean installation you can copy it to every place you like and use them for different mods and installations. Every copy can used like the first installed.
-
Ok finally done. I reinstalled everything and before I did l'hiver I went ahead and tested it first.
Started new game and glitched to VoM and the theme I wanted is playing.
But now after I reinstalled l'hiver (1.1.3 cause I started a game a long time ago and only got back a few days ago) the theme is back to the wrong one.
I definitely didn't download the optional music this time.
Just realized I failed to mention that the main menu music is also the gothic 1 version.
So apparently there's something wrong with one of the 2 vdf files of l'hiver. Either base or scripts.

It is possible that some music got changed, i'll try and give it a look, can you send me the VoM theme? I'll replace it via code for future versions, no idea why they did change that theme, so fucking good
-
Ok I hope I'm giving you the right file here cause when I said I fiddled with the direct music producer I managed to create the VoM theme using the .SGT .STY and .DLS files but I'm pretty sure the .SGT one is the main file as the rest are all the files with instrument names.

ok it seems the direct music producer kept the needed files together when I created the project. All these files together are the VoM theme apparently.

I'll give it a look when making 1.1.6 after some research, thank you

Looks like I'll have to bite the bullet for this playthrough then. I was planning to do a classic playthrough (no notr) after this one anyway. After I've beaten this I'll be able to do that one with my eyes closed.
edit
I'm sorry to bother once again but this time it's for a real bug report. I've just arrived at the rock fortress with the rock dragon and wanted to talk to gorn so we could storm the place but there are no dialogue options when talking to him. It apparently has something to do with some dialogue scripts not agreeing with waypoints or something like that. I'll link to the thread which explains it. This seems to be an old bug already. https://forum.worldofplayers.de/foru...01530-p-2.html

no biggie. I'll just have biff tag along. cause dragons can't be handled alone anymore with l'hiver or even with notr. I remember tackling them alone on classic.

I have also a few things to report. It seems Harad still has that silly wig on him. Also, on the very beginning when you are standing in front of the entrance to the cave near Lester, 2 lizards suddenly drop from above. I watched them later and they simply walk past the edge of the cliff above, I guess it was longer in the original game. I had a good laugh but it should still be fixed if possible, not that easy to kill them anyway
Also, this change from 1.1.3
If NH is a Mage, instead of +5 HP each level up he will receive +2 HP and +3 Mana.
was removed? Because I sure am not getting any Mana with new levels despite being a mage.

Some more bugs. Since you made the graphics, you should be able to fix missing collisions on a tree near the tower by the Khorinis harbor.
[Bild: wVr8jTB.jpg]
Also, mana potions recipes are a mess. To be exact, pure mana potion costs 2 mana extracts and 1 meadow knotweed. Then, for the elixir of spirit you need 3 pure mana potions and 1 king's sorrel. I guess these should be the 2 last entries, not sure what else they could be.

About that tree i don't think i need to fix that, it seems to be out of the map so yeah.. who cares honestly
The log entries have been fixed, thank you!

Is there any point to being an apprentice under Harad as a 2h mercenary? Besides his hair of course. It does not seem like a way to reliably make money, since the ingredients are quite expensive, and the swords do not exactly seem worth it compared to regular weapons either. Wanted to try and apprentice under him for a change instead of Bosper like I do every game, but Bosper just seems like the better option, especially since in Lhiver money isn't that abundant.
2 handed builds in general seem quite weak compared to 1h

2Hand damage got buffed a lot, by 50 for the strongest weapons i don't think they're still weak

Dude, the hair Anyway, I seem to remember I was able to earn a fair amount of money by selling him the swords but only later in the game because only then I found all the iron ore veins. But they are accessible quite soon except you must know about them, of course. Also, to me it seems the main point of the masters in L'Hiver is crafting. To my knowledge, only Bosper will teach you how to make bows. I am not sure about Harad though, maybe Bennet can teach you to make the same swords? If not, then it should be worth it for the 2H swords you can craft.
But it is true this could use some balancing, what do you think Masty? I would say Bosper is just perfect, you can earn a lot of money by selling him skins plus craft bows, which are both things unique for him.
As for Harad, you earn much less. To sell him better swords you need to learn them (in comparison, with Bosper you learn taking skins only once for 5 LP) and it costs you some ore that you may need to craft swords that you actually want to use (skins have no other use). Also, like I said, I am not sure only he can teach you how to craft all the swords. If not, then it is not really worth it.
Finally, Constantino seems to be the worst choice of them all. You earn almost nothing and selling him dark mushrooms is incredibly stupid, at least if you play as mage. Also, I think the only unique skill he can teach you is the improved potions efficiency that you changed for 1.1.5. But even when playing a mage, I did not learn it and now that I have mana regen it makes even less sense.
Did I miss anything? I also wanted to ask another thing, what 2H weapons did you exactly buff? Because I do not think any that I have seen have higher damage, so maybe only the ones you can craft? Actually, the mage wands do even less damage than in the original game but I think that was implemented already in some older L'Hiver versions. It sill makes them totally useless, though. I think the point was to allow mages to have some meelee alternative that will suit them (less strength needed) but this nerf killed that. In my current playthrough (mage) I still went for 2H but it was the last time unless you do some more balancing. Not only there are few good 2H weapons (ring of water quaterstaff being by far the best) but the new expert 2H animation is worse than the fighter one. The first attack lag made it impossible for me so I had to use marvin to unlearn it.

I'm planning some changes in masters of khorinis.. for bosper i can simply lower the amount of gold you get from skins, harad i think he's the most balanced, for constantino well.. i'm trying to give him some good things but in the end a potion will never be as strong as a bow or a sword so yeah.. I wanted to add this new potions i've mentioned in the NEWS section to make constantino more viable.
For the 2H, i'm pretty sure i've buffed every 2h weapon, but i'm pretty sure i didn't touch any mage staff (i'm planning some changes for this too, to make staffs and wands actually worth it).. for the animation well, gotta test it but i don't think there is a problem with removing the bad anim, i've seen many people hating on it i guess i gotta look at it
Right now i'm trying to rework craftable armors and armor balance in the game in general.. trying to put some new armors in the game but it's totally new for me so yeah, it will take some time

Right, I did not think those potions would be exclusive for Constantino's apprentice but it makes sense. And I do not think it is difficult to come up with a really good potion, I would more worried about not making them OP for some builds. The temporary STR boost seems useful as long as the boost is significant. I can think of something similar for DEX when you will only be able to walk for the duration of the potion. As for some better ways of making money from him, the obvious possibility would be for him to buy your potions. But that way you could probaby earn more than with Bosper But if you reduce the money you get to half for both skins and potions, I think it could be fine. Just not sure what about Harad.

Okay, after you buff the staffs, they could be a viable option for a mage. As for the 2H anim, like I said, in my opinion the fighter one is currently better than expert. Not sure what the point of the changed animation was. The original animation was fine so I would be for changing it back.

Good, those could definitely use some balancing. And looking forward to some cool new ones!

A few more minor bugs. Berry broth does not heal the 30% it is supposed to, only gives +1 max HP. Also, when frying all chunks of meat (probably even a single one, have not tried it), the "frying X chunks of meat" does not disappear in the standard timeout. It went away when I opened the inventory, mabye there is no timeout at all.
That gave me an idea, if it was not too much trouble, such a dialogue could be added for potions, to make several at once.

Yeah i'm planning on making that change for both potions and soups, it's just a little more complicated because there are many different potions and soups, meanwhile we have just 1 type of meat
For that bug, fixed it thanks!
