what a cruel end, i feel a bit sad for them but when thinking about gothic 3 FG and so called "gothic 4" that they made should cover it, IMO they don't deserve this, they just shouldn't have done these in the first place, but oh well, it would be cool if they get faired and give PB rights back, if they still exist. to make a True gothic sequel.

Actually, like everything else you mentioned (legendary games that Interplay published) it was either Black Isle (later Obsidian) or Bioware.. in the case of Fallout - Black Isle. So yeah, Interplay was kinda like JoWood (the guys behind other people's talented work who then screw them over) and it seems both will have the same fate. However, unlike JoWood who only had one talented game-maker who already split from them (PB), the death of Interplay spelled the virtual death of a golden era of American RPGs even though the companies themselves (much like PB) kept going.

Btw don't get me wrong, NWN and NWN 2 weren't horrible games and neither is Dragon Age, but frankly they can't hold a candle to the golden age games mentioned. About the only American RPG left to anticipate now is Skyrim..let's see how that turns out.
