You can get Gothic, Gothic 2 Gold and Gothic 3 ("Gothic Universe") for 11,49€.

In other words, you're still paying ~20€ for Arcania alone if you buy the bundle you have linked.

But yeah, lots of good deals this month, the biggest part of Steam's catalogue is 25-50% off and there are interesting daily discounts too, you can find masterpieces and pay literally a couple of bucks for them (yesterday they were selling Deus Ex for 2,69€ sequel included and F.E.A.R. for 2,24€ expansions included, today they are selling The Witcher for 4€).

Steam is great...no wonder Game and other retailers want it dead.

The Bundle has a nice price but most of it is for Arcania...so I'll just pass on this bundle and wait till they sell Arcania for like 4 pounds

Yeah, when Arcania is on GOG for $9.95 I might consider it.

And getting Gothic 1/2 on GOG.com costs only $12 at the moment.
Leaving you only G3 to get seperately.

    Error: does not compute.
Arcania is neither an old game nor a good game.

Unless one hates Steam itself, both sellers are worth checking.

On GOG one can currently get:
    - Gothic for $6.99
    - Gothic II Gold for $4.99

On Steam, the current deals are as follow (until January the 2nd):
    - Gothic only comes for free with Gothic Universe and Gothic Bundle
    - Gothic II Gold for 4,99€, but you CAN'T play Gothic II classic separately, the expansion is mandatory.
    - Gothic 3 for 7,49€
    - Gothic, Gothic II Gold and Gothic 3 (Gothic Universe) for 11,49€
    - Gothic, Gothic II Gold, Gothic 3 and Arcania (Gothic Bundle) for 41,99€ (the price mentioned in the opening post only applied that particular day)

In other words, you're still paying ~20€ for Arcania alone if you buy the bundle you have linked.
Just an update: as we can see, the actual figure is 30,50€ now, again comparing with Gothic Universe. Not exactly a "bundle" kind of deal.

When you see 50% less , is about your mentality!
    For example:

i have a shirt, normaly cost 20$, they put it 40$ on sales , then they make it 50% less, mean 20$ ! You see: wow 50% less, big deal!

Agreed, that's exactly why I went and added a concrete comparison to the thread.
Still, if one REALLY wants Arcania, one can still save 5 bucks (difference between Arcania in the bundle and Arcania on its own)

Yeah, but at least with GOG you got the advantage of not needing steam.

I hear you, but Steam itself isn't a big hassle. What really pisses me off are videogames which use the Games For Windows Live platform, then come on Steam... and they still use GFW:L on top of Steam! Two clients and communities for one game! Or in GTA IV's case, if you buy it on Steam, you're forced to use three (THREE!) clients to play one (ONE!) freaking game; Steam, GFW:L and Rockstar Social Club!

You can buy it from an online shop, and you receive the box(cover) of game too!

My main gripe is that some games use steam to prevent cheaper sold russian/thai versions from being used outside of those countries.
Plus, I don't like requiring some online junk for a single-player game.

There's an offline mode. Granted, you have to use Steam to update your games and I'm assuming you have to log back in from time to time.

Stardock (thinking Galactic Civilizations II here) is a nice alternative. Serial is not compulsory. You go online when you want to: for updates for eg.

Otherwise, you play the thing offline, no DRM whatsoever.
