Bugs in Gothic (best and worst)
Hi, I just wanted to open a new topic because I couldn't find any which deals with the bugs. So here is the best bug in Gothic 2:
If you are being hit by someone or something, and you drink, eat or use some stonetablets, the item gets back to your inventory! So it's the best if you go to a minecrawler cave (because they are hitting all the time) and stand in front of a minecrawler to get it attack you. Then open your inventory and drink a permanent potion. (+3 dex maybe) If the monsta was hitting you when you drank it, the potion is not lost, you can drink it again and again, so can get unlimited stat points!
And here is another bug in Gothic 1/2: (the ladder bug)

So what do U think about the best and worst bugs in the Gothic games? I think there will be more worse bugs...

Hi!
Well, please don´t post such large pictures, post the link to it (I had to scroll from left to right to read your post).
What you are talking about first is Bugusing,... i don´t do it, because for me it´s like cheating, but that´s only my opinion.
The ladder i hate most was the one in the old mine, where you must get this cogwheel.
-
In g1: the jump bug(when you fall down if you hit left or right arrow the hero won't lose any HP).The rest : wortheless.
In g2: they were all worthless.

Hweh, you must have posted in the first second, because I have edited my post just 2 moments I made the topic. I made a link.
Maybe the worst point in Gothic 1 is that place in the mine what you mentioned, where we almost couldn't get out from that cave. It is very annoying.
I haven't tried that jump bug in Gothic 1 but I will.

I have seen the solution the first time in The Wonderers fastrun ... when you reach the top, just turn a bit left and jump.

Oh, really! Though I already had that fastrun, I couldn't notice. Man, why do people do this with games? Run through it in a couple of hours. That really spoils the game atmosphere. And how much time preparation do they need for it...

I think just to give themselfs another challenge? To show that it works, to break records,... i dunno,... but i must say, this fastrun has shown me new things, even that i played it many times... for me it´s cool!

I have to say that i learned some things from the fastrun(like those shortcuts through the mountains). But in rest there where things that i already knew(one time when i tried to climb that ladder i spent almost a half of hour until i figured out with the left and jump trick). It's usefull...
Edit :
The bugs i hate :
-g1 : when you try to banish the sleeper if you try to hit him with long range weapons or magic(i don't have to say what happens if you attack him with close range) he start throwing with fireballs. The thing is that he attacked me even if i don't attack him. But that wasn't such a big deal. It actually helped me to laugh a little. When the demons lord spawned some of the fireballs hit them and they started to attack the slepeer. Cool sight that was.
-g2 : no bugs that i can remember and bother me too much.

I never use such kind of bugs and it's cheating, for me it's better to use console if you really want cheat, as for bugs i don't have many, and it wasn't any total bugs which disturbed me

Some really irritating bugs about Gothic 2:
- Sometimes the game just becomes really staggerating, that I cannot play it. I must save and exit from it and open it again.
- Sometimes when I go from a scene to another (from Khorinis to the Valley e.g.) and I ought to see the loading screen, nothing happens! The character just stands there and the game froze out.
- When I save, and after 5-6 sec I have to reboot the pc, get back to the game, and the save game's thumbnail is just a white sheet! There's no save game, all my work has lost!
And some funny bugs:
- When the NPCs making some movement like sawing the woods or stirring a soup, they just loose they target of movement, and they are beginning to saw the air, or stirr nothing on the other side of the kettle...
-
These kind of bugs shouldn't be noticed. These are bugs wich every game has problems with them.

Yes...but not only that bug. There are a lot of bugs but every game has these kind of problems.
-
Unfortunately Gothic has too much...
-
Yes,that's true but they can be compensated for the game itself. Plus that with every ver of gothic released the bugs are fewer.
-
Yes, of course, and I hope it will continue in the next game. I just wonder why PB haven't released some patches what fix these bugs.
-
@Petyamester
yes, Gothic has many bugs, but for example my versions of G1/2 never had bugs was really serious and i had many games which i can't pass because of bugs and once i bought a game which i even can't load

Uhh, then we can be happy with Gothic itself!

That's true. If we consider other games, gothic isn't a buggy game. We should enjoy it as it is and stop complaining.

Today i had 3 game crashes while i was playing g2 addon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It just threw me out of the game without warning. (On of the crashes was Access violation)
