    Modding

Ok I wanna change the armors in Gothic II
Im working with help from http://wiki.worldofgothic.com/Tutori...fy+Armor+skins

Ive download the [Armor-ASC-Files] and then I want to open Armor_Xardas.asc but I dont know with which program...
It says: First, open the Armor_Xardas.asc with a simple editor an search for "tga".

    Can anyone tell me?

    Thanks!

If I'm not mistaking you have to :
    1. open the spacer.
    2. open work/data/meshes/armor/#the armor you want to edit#
But before you have to do this you need to create the texture for the new armor. This can be done with Potoshop or any other program like this one.
    3. When you open the file with the desired armor you have to compile the 3ds file for mesh(editing).
The attributes for the armor are established in the scripts.
This can be done to edit an existing armor. This is how i recomend you to do it concerning that you might not handle creating a new one.
If you insist on creating a new one you have to work in 3DStudioMax and i don't have a clue about it.
This is my opinion on how you could do this. It wouldn't hurt to ask somebody else too but i think that this is the fastest way.

The only thing you need in the aditional data is the VDFS Tool. You don't have to download the whole package(27 Mb or something like that).

Edit : If you need aditional help just ask.
