    In the recent time the work goes good on, the mod is already playable, so I estimate in a month or maximal two I will need 5-10 betatesters for the half finished mod.

    If someone is interested, write here.

    From the betatesters I expect reliability, full reports, and a bunch of time and patience.

    it i so bloody dark in those pics. probably there should be quite a few torches or light spells in that mod

    Yes, there are many torches but it may also happen, that you run out of light while being in a dark hole in the middle of enemy den. So the horror comes.

    Hi, I created new video from Thanatos. This time nothing big, just a small view on an unique feature of Thanatos mod.

    that is a cool feature, just the colour of that column is awful...
    btw - those narrow caves are great! complete darkness gives real gothic feeling, but I don't know about fighting in such locations when you can't see enemy

    Thank you. It is realistic to fight in the complete dark, but you don't have to fight in complete dark if you drop a torch it will stay on the ground and make some faint light. Of course if you have not enough torches in some underground labyrinth then you experience real horror and you never come out alive. And there are large systems of underground tunnels and caves so you will need lot of torches. :-)

    The column is just help for modelling. It won't be in released mod. In fact the column doesn't do the day-night effect. I do it through scripts and some triggers around. In released mod you won't leave the caves at this pseudo-dark.

    Sounds very interesting... I'm guessing you know that Thanatos is one of 2 primitive instincts of ID(the other being eros, damn I love psychology ), Thanatos is the instinct to kill and destroy which seems to fit your mod quite well

    Definitely intending to try it, just one question. How does it work with NotR? Does it change the original game or is there some kind of a menu in which you choose to play either NotR or Thanatos?

    Installing special Gothic Starter you are given the opportunity to decide if you want to play original game, Thanatos, or any other mod. Once when Thanatos is out I will explain all requirements. It's simple.
