The weird thing is that,even though they wear bandit armor,they would still attack the hero on sight if he's wearing bandit armor,and scream something like "Filthy bandit".

they are new camp guys who didn't go with lee or other bandits.... so they are lone birds

Oh c'mon, we have already realised that the tramp who says that line doesn't mean it literally. By the way, it doesn't fit, because Talas was a complete coward, and he's likely either dead at this point or marching across the countryside in black robes.
