Actually with the exception of the final game, Netherlands had the fewest yellow/red cards and fouls among 16 countries during the Mundial.
Netherlands were the only team playing like gentlemen...Because its in their nature...(i dont know wtf happened before the last game though...i assume they had run out of weed...LOL)

Yes, Netherlands couldn't have won with a decisive advantage in front of Spain, but it surely would have been a great win, because they would have won against a team of the same size and calibre as theirs, and with equal chances. Doesn't it seem to you that 11 players have a slight advantage against a team of only 10 players?
Well if Holland woudnt have receive a red card (but De Jong deserved it) at the end then probably and most likely the game would have gone to penalties and then the match could have taken a diferent course.

Spain defenders didn't fail, Robben won. It's a known fact, if Robben cuts inside to the left like usual, you cannot stop him. It's impossible for the human mind to think fast enough, that's why everyone needs 3-4 defenders to hold him off
Btw, that's really been tested and proven.
Ok ok. He should go to Manchester United, i love that team.

Yep probably. The best argument i can give is that the teams were very good echilibrated and thats why the lack of shots on goal, or they probably smoked smth before the game.

Goddamnit you reminded me of the WC loss
Ok let's do predictions?
Barcelona 3 - 1 Arsenal
Shakhtar Donetsk 1 - 1 AS Roma
Schalke 1 - 1 Valencia
Tottenham 2 - 2 AC Milan
Uhh... yeah i think so. Although i hope Arsenal beats Barcelona.
-
Barcelona 2 - 0 Arsenal
Shakhtar Donetsk 1 - 0 AS Roma
Schalke 2 - 1 Valencia
Tottenham 3 - 1 AC Milan
Oh comon dude, Tottenham will rape AC Milan in England.
And Arsenal won't win Barca on Camp Nou, their best chance is a draw.

I hate football...
Portugal spends milions of euros on stadiums, and on it's football players. Cristiano Ronaldo gets enough to feed the whole population for a couple of days or more, just in a month or something.
Yeah, say that I don't know nothing about football, I don't give a damnd about football, but Portugal is ruled by football for the love of God!
Don't know how it is in other countries, but here we can't afford to spend such money on this shitty sport. Specially when all the other sports are totally left behind.
-
I would love to see Barcelona fly outta the cup. It would be hillarious to see it again. And I hope it's a draw that'll strangle their minds.

What the f**k!?
Who are you to tell me where should I post?
It says here "Football thread" just that, and I'm in my right to complain about the monetary ruin that ugly sport has brought to my already poor country.
Don't like it? Ignore me, don't read my posts, nobody tells you to.
If someone changes this thread's name to "Football Lovers Only #5" then, it's ok.

Barcelona won.

Yeah they were bad. They were dominated, they didn't even have a single shot on target. And the red card was a 50/50 situation, I still think he saw the linesman with the flag, but he was wasting time since 1-1 was a great result for them.
Mascherano was amazing.
How can Messi score penalties like that? Srsly? No power in his shots... it's like he tricked the goalkeeper or smth 0.o

That's how you score a penalty!
Also... Shakhtar Donetsk 3 - 0 AS Roma
That made me lol

Oh hell no man, come on. It was so clear he didn't have any clue. Van Persie shot 1 second after the whistle. That's been proven. You can't tell me he could've heard the whistle at all or on time. And he definitely did not see the linesman, just look at the videos man. Here, van Persie explains to you why he did not deserve a red card.
-
As I said it was a 50/50 decision, Bussaca didn't break any rule when he gave the card and then again - yes, he could have ignored that.
Anyway I don't understand why didn't he advance then if he didn't hear the whistle? I mean he's a lefty, why shoot with your right foot when nobody was near him, he did see that, no? When looking back to receive the pass?
Honestly I don't know if he heard the whistle or not and I doubt we'll ever know for sure xD

Because he didn't know he was offside and thought the defender was there leaving no opening to cut inside. He just shot hoping it'd go in like the first match, why didn't he cut back there? It's Robin van Persie, he'll shoot from anywhere with any foot.
Oh and Busacca was breaking a rule. You can't give yellow when a player doesn't know or didn't hear. This was obviously the case. But really, even with Van Persie in, they would've lost anyway. Barcelona has magic, you'd need a defensive and countering wonder like last years Inter to beat them. Or Chelsea, they've got a great defence and excellent strikers. I still think they're going to win the CL

I still think they're going to win the CL
And I still doubt that
And yeah, Inter found the perfect way to beat Barca last year in Italy, I was pissed off at first ... obviously... but when my senses came back I realized that was actually a great match by Inter Mourinho. And I hate the guy, with all his arrogance and always showing off when he can, but nevertheless he's a great coach, whose place, imho, isn't in Spain or Italy, but England!
On a side note, the CL isn't as important to me as the local Championship, but winning an extra cup is always welcomed.

Definitely wrong. Mourinho can say and do all he wants, but in the end it's the players that have to play. He told the players what to do, and he said it perfectly. But Zanetti and Cambiasso were the ones that overshadowed Messi for 2 full matches. Cesar was the one saving shots by Barcelona. Sneijder was the one with the brilliant passes deep and Milito was the one with the sick finishes. If it were really all Mourinho, then why did Real go down 5-0? Because Real ain't as good as Inter. Sick team.
