Oh shit, I just finished The Book Thief.

Christ, I cried like a little baby.

It's not that I didn't see it coming -- you find out the end from the first pages of the book -- but it was still incredibly painful.

    Burning Daylight - Jack London
    finished it 2 days ago

I truly enjoy reading his books, his naturalistic - adventure writing style is perfect for me.

Next book I will read will be "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea" from Jules Verne. I have read this book but it was many years ago.

It really covers up every aspect of evolution, giving fascinating examples.

The only bad thing, at least for me, is that Dawkins in every single one of his books, sometimes over-analyzes his thoughts, which is something completely unnecessary and tiring for the reader (for example the chapter about Embryology was way too boring to handle ).

I finished reading Jean M. Auel's The Clan Of The Cave Bear for the second time, this time in English. Although the latter books go into the realm of romantic adventure fiction (they're still good despite this), this first book in the series is in my opinion a remarkable book. Apparently the background and setting are meticulously studied both academically and through gathering personal experience of herbs and survival in nature; though later research has invalidated some of the stuff in the book, at the time of writing it corresponded well with the then current understanding of the history of the species man, although obviously with some freedoms a fictional novel must and is allowed to take. It paints a vivid, vibrant picture of life at the dawn of mankind, when a cro magnon girl is adopted by a clan of neanderthal people; using this plot device, Auel makes into flesh the similarities and differences of the two branches of humankind far better than almost any other source. A very good read.

It's not the first time I'm reading it. It's the first time I'm translating part of it into Modern English from Old.

It's not Cambridge, it's a school thing. Called "atestat." It's a twenty-page analysis of English and its development.

Definitely. Provided I find a way to sign it, i.e. make sure my name sticks to it, so random lurkers can't claim it as their own.

You could scan and watermark the pages as images,if you're cautious against plagiarism.

I think the .pdf format has a "lock" feature too but, unfortunately,I don't know anything more about that.
