Ok,this clearly does not work,how many times i try it does not install .What am I doing wrong can someone tell me please .I unpack the images folder in the data folder,but nothing happens .I place the Ani_Hero_Head_Hero_01_Diffuse_S1._ximg in the data/compiled folder,but again nothing,please help me,I really want this mod .

Is it possible to keep the "old" face (I think its quite ok except for a problem with the eyebrows) but grow a bit of hair on his head?

I'm quite sure you have placed it in the wrong folder, the file has NOT to be copied to the folder the game is installed in, but in:

C:\Documents and settings\ User Name \Local Settings\ApplicationData\Risen\
for Vista: C:\Documents and Settings\ User Name \ AppData\ Local\ Risen.

Or use the windows-search and search for "ConfigUser.xml" on your system, in the same (Risen-) folder as this file is the mod must be copied.

Just loaded it up last night, very nice! Much better than the old hero head.

It should be possible to make something that at least looks like the "old" hero, yes, ... but someone would have to redraw the texture with the old face (not many ppl like the old hero), ... not sure if the head (-mesh) was also changed.
