I'm at the end of chapter one. I started doing all swamp quests, then got sent to monastery and did all there quests. Then i just finished all harbour town quests for the don, and i got the quest from the don to talk to the inquisitor. But in the monastery i can't get to him. I've talked to all the masters and the guards but whenever i go in i get attacked.

I kinda seem to remember I first talked to the guy(s) standing outside the Monistary. And they gave me the ok to go in and eventually I worked my way to the Inquisitor. Or perhaps the guys that are first at the entrance. But somewhere someone said ok you can go talk to the Inquisitor.

Just to confirm.. When you hit "C" your 'title' is Hunter. Correct?

Yeah i checked im a hunter. And i talked to them all, they said i can go up to talk to the inquisitor. But when i actually get up there they won't let me in. He'll talk to me if i spawn him in that one thing, but it always bugs when i try it.

If it really is bugged, and you're not just missing something, don't use "spawn" use "goto" or do what is detailed in this thread. Instead of teleporting him into the Hall, put him somewhere safely outside of it.

But I'm guessing you just missed something elsewhere. Before you do anything in the console, double check that you have spoken to everyone else first.

i tried goto before and he just attacks me once i get in there. Ill try the recoordinating thing soon. And i talked to everyone in the monastery, i even tried finishing the quests for the mages but it still didnt work.

Well relocating the inquisitor worked and it let me move into the second chapter. But the game is bugged like crazy now, the npc's think i'm in the inquisiton and with the bandits. So none of them will give me armor, or teach me the upper skills. And sometimes i even get to pick what they say.

I've seen strange things like that happen after using spawn but never after using edit to change the position of a character. Try reloading an older save from before the problem, then using edit to change his position. Just as a note, using cheats like spawn or give can break quests and make the game impossible to finish.

I did do it on a different save. This bug happened after i did all the quests for the don while being a novice.

Bummer dude. At least playing through again up to that point won't take so long now that you know what to do for the most part.

Nah i think im just gonna finish playing through, ill just use cheats to get the armor im suppose to get. and same with learning sword, ill just take off 10 lp when i put it up with console. lol its already my second time through cause i didnt like staff fighting, and im like 10 hours in!

Is this for real? How do people hit these bugs? Must be bad luck or maybe the operating system.

i really dont know lol. i had no bugs the first run through. Anyone else done what i did and not experienced any bugs?

I didn't even know you could go to the swamp and do all the bandit camp quests, then go to the monastery and do all of those quests, then go to Harbor City and work for the Don again. That might be what triggered the bug. But who really knows. It's situations like these that make it a good idea to have very well developed set of console commands. Being able to use the console to force a specific portion of a quest to begin, mark a single part completed etc. Maybe that is something PB should work on for the next game they make.

I didnt think i would be able to either, but at the farm i let the warrior beat me up and they took me there. Then when they let me leave i just went and sided with don lol.
