    Hmmm...

    Not sure how it is done exactly.

    It seems to be more than just ignoring Z-buffer, since the stuff clearly comes "through" the doorway in the film while respecting geometry obstructing it. At least it seems like a plane instead of billboard since it seems to have a heading of its own.

    Perhaps blending of the partcle planes texure with the background based on smth?


    We want details!

    I have a question. is it possible increase the damage of the Non-Generic NPC? I mean, Gorn, Diego, Lares, Lester, Milten, Rhobar, Xardas etc...

    For me (and sure for all of you) is annoying see how they get kicked their asses by scavengers or goblins or whatever...

    Unfortunately, that is not possible. Problem is that strength is based on the level of a NPC. But if we would increase the level then all attributes (mana, life, strength, dex etc) and armor will be also increased. We can't change only one attribute.
    Increase the level means also to change the balancing.

    Roi, our friend, I wanna ask something. Apart of the great graphical enhanced that you are doing with the game... do you have in mind improve another non graphical stuff in game? I'm pretty sure you will not... but I just wanna ask
    And BTW, now that you know how the game works inside, do you think there is possible improve the two-handed weapon system in game? (It's a shame that T-HW is useful at this moment...)

    How big (in megs) the patch will be?

    I'm sorry but we don't improve any weapon system.
    There are some other stuff than graphics which we fixed (quests, dialogues --> wrong order etc).

    It isn't ready yet. Not yet.

    Around 900-920 MB, depends on problems which could we have.

    Correct.

    @Maladiq
    I can't say exactly how much bigger it is. 1.72 has 888 MB, 1.73 has a little bit more than 900 MB (current version).

    Does it also fix those small black squares which show up all over the screen? I've got that problem and the strange thing about it is that the only way to remove them i discovered, was to re-install my graphics driver, but when i restart my computer after playing, the squares come again...so i always have to reinstall that driver when i want to play Gothic 3

    Seems to be a particular problem so i do not think our patch could fix it. But are you sure you deinstalled your driver properly before you installed a new one? And did you overclock your graphic card?

    Edit: Urban reminded me that there are problems with SLI/Crossfire if you have these you should deactivate it.

    We have begun the 1.73 patch to add more things for modders which also be implemented in later mods (like the questpak).

    You can download the new modder manual from our site (Link "Addendum for Modders"). It is available in English, Russian and Italian.
