100 push ups in 6 weeks
http://hundredpushups.com/
As this site promises, you'll only need 30 minute per week with 3 sets per week.
Before you start you have to perform a test... so simply execute as many good-form push ups as you can. So you can see where to start.
I'm already trying myself and giving it the best I can.

Well, I'm already into bodyweight exercises so I might do it.
I'm doing my job twice per day, one time in the morning and one before sleeping. I'm doing 10 push-ups (15 when I'm good shape), 20 or 25 sit-ups, and 50 squats. Also, in the morning, I'm going for a jog . It really drains me up but I'm not doing anything else anyway so it doesn't matter.

30 push ups in 1 set without giving a swet.
going to the army in 1 year, have to be in good shape.
soon i gona start going to a millitery training program with my friend.

That's bullshit. First it's only safe and posible to do maximum 10% more of the exercice each week (asuming you're an absolute begginer).
Secondly, i'm always training with 1 day pause between days with exercice, and i've manage to reach 70 pushups per set in 3 months, and i realy do push-ups until my muscles star shaking and simply stop working (aka maximum posible training). It's really hard. If you just want to show off then you have to work more, but if you really want to show off i recomend you train to do planches (push ups without feet on ground, those are AWESOME!!!).

Looks nice, I think I'll give it a shot. Most I've ever done in a set is 40ish, wonder if I could work up to that many reps.

Why don't you keep doing them if you can do 30 so easily?
-
That looks intersting... I am going to try it, along with my other training.
-
It was several years ago when i did my record and it was 75, i was about 8 or 9 years old then now im much heavier and when i do push-ups for training i usually do 50 or so, haven't tried maximum. No problems doing 75 sit-ups. So sorry guys but when reading this thread....start training guys

I was serious. If you can do more, why don't you?
@Dino: What other exercises are you doing?

@Dino: What other exercises are you doing?
Crunches, biceps and triceps weight lifting, leg exersices (thighs), cardio which I just recently started. Man, is it hard... but I am getting used to it. I am curently on "walking" but I hope in the middle of august I'll start jogging.
Some other chest exersices with weights(I think they're called "flies" or something) and an exersice for the lower part of my belly, which is really, really troublesome. I still have a lot of fat to melt there - more than 5 cm.
But I already lost like 6~ cm of it, for 6 months.
However I seem to fail at burning chest fat
And my thighs are in a bad shape too.
I've had about enough of being fat and lazy. It's time for a change.

I'll try to do it, though for me all these repetative exercises are boring like hell.
If you guys can spare 100 bucks, buy katana and join your local dojo (if you can in your country). Martial arts, esp. with a sword, actually make sense. Kinda wild fun to slice and dice tatami mats

During the last 4 summers I've been doing a summer workout program.
I've been doing between 150-300(depending on how hard I've been working during the day) pushups, sit-ups and back extensions, each night, in sets of course.
Last year I was able to do 100 pushups in a row, not sure I'm able to do it now though :P
This summer I've changed my training a lot though, I didn't really get anything out of doing a lot of pushups, so now I've started with weights every night instead.
Doing 3 sets and 10 reps with 80kg bench press (Know it's not a lot, but havn't really bench pressed for 2½ year, used to have 100kg as max, that's my goal now as well).
And 100 one arm 20kg dumbbell bent-over-rows as well as 100 biceps curls 20kg as well (on each arm of course).
Hopefully they'll do a better job than pushups.
Recently acquired 140 kg iron, a squat stand and a bench as well.
So now I can work out, whenever I have the time, which is really nice.
And with the 140 kg I've got plenty of space to improve! xD

So everyone is talking like they can do this already and they don't need to join in.
Who is actually willing to do it?
-
It's almost 3 a.m. here so I can't read teh whole thing. I promise I'll see it in the morning.
2 year ago I was following a program which my father told me about.
In Day 1 I did 15 push-ups in the morning and 15 before bedtime. And each day after, I was adding 1 push-up.
I remember I got to 50 consecutive push-ups and I quit. Don't ask why, I can't remember.
Of course I'll give it a try if I like it. Maybe this way I'll catch back my interest for sports. I'm not that fatty, but I gained a lot in weight. I have a rather big belly(pizzas, burgers, looooots of beer and sweets). It's rather unpleasant.
Talk to you in the morning 1-C!

Why just pushups? There are several other muscles to train as well that a pushup can't reach.
