Hello everyone. I'm new to this forum, this is my first post.

I've been playing Gothic for a while, probably, together with SW Knights of The Old Rep, they're the most complete RPGs released until now.

I need to know if there is any mod already made that lets you play as female in Gothic 1. In Gothic 2, I've already figured smth out, no prob.
If such a mod exists already, I'd be very happy if somone could provide a link...

Second, I am also interested about playing Gothic 3 as a female hero too... if you know something...

And, of course, if somebody did something about some properly female fit armors, that would be great!

Firstly,the most complete rpg released until now is the Fallout series(except the cowshit,oblivion 5,aka fallout 3).

And secondly,I dunno about gothic 1 but in gothic 3 there isn't any "female" mod released yet.

This would be very difficult, if not impossible in g3, as for Gothic 2, you could try the Velaya Mod, but it's only in German, the English translation is in progress, idk how far they are yet.

Very. They are doing the last translation checks and have been discussing about compiling a beta (to further search for errors) soon. So, I'd say, a couple of weeks in the worst.

The mod is created for GOTHIC, the game GOTHIC2 this version is not planned.
There, you can download a video-trailer for this Mod.

The release is scheduled for autumn 2009.

There is the Velaya mod for G2, although its in german. I have no ideea about G1 and G3 though.

I was playing with PC_Hero.d and I changed

hum_body_Naked0 to Bab_body_Naked0

and

Hum_Head_Pony to Bab_Head_Hair1

problem is, the character is now a female floating head. I can only assume this has something to do with animation or the bodies being incompatible? I don't know. Anyone knows anything about this, please let me know. I just thought it'd be fun to do.

Same problem here. I have changed the PC_HERO.d visuals with those of a female. Only head appears. I have also tried as a test to change only the body to female and let the original head of the NH. Head floating with invisible body... So the problem is with body only.

I've seen textures mentioned. I suppose I do not need anything else rather than the original textures of the game referenceed in the right palce somewhere. What files do I need to acces for that?

Now I am asking like the NH:

What EXACTLY do I need to do for the female body to show up??? And I would appreciate a precise, complete answer. Thank you.

I converted Zonks BabeMod to english in the form of a patch here:

Zonk mentions on his site that he had to add the male skeletal structure to the female models so that they could perform the requisite player character movements.

I think it would be easier to edit HERO.ZEN as I mentioned here:

as opposed to editing PC_Hero.d. Personally I couldn't use babe, babe1 to babe7 or babe_rockefeller because they have no fight animation. I found that wearing any armor would cause the PC to show up as a floating head on an invisible body.
