I will write an English test this wednesday so I start to write my personal opinion (the topic is censorship) to learn the text by heart. During the test I can modify the sentences. Do u find any mistakes?

In my opinion censorship is a necessary institution but the government should not act as a guardian for the population. There should be a rating for books, movies and games because a child is not skilled enough to be confrontated with certain impressions. Only adults have the ability to overcome most experiences or the knowledge to avoid contact with materials which they can not cope.
There are few things which should be prohibited. Pornographic material and material which glorifies violence should be censored if during the development persons were harmed premeditated or act under duress. It should be allowed to use these materials for historical and scientific documentations or research only. The government has the task to guarantee that during the development of the media the human rights of no person were harmed. Books should be available for all adults because books itself can not harm anyone and people should be able to have a critical look at extreme contents e.g. inhuman ideologies.

The only mistake, in my eyes. The content is a bit monotonous. You're only criticizing the circumstances under which the "material" was made.
In fact children aren't able to decide what is more or less good for themselves but it is also a fact that their parents are not able to decide, too.
It's up to a "Gremium" to make this decision. So this might be another point of view...but it's your test.

May I ask you which class you are visiting. Just curiosity...

Imho u have to postulate that each adult is able to think "normal". I know that this isn't the reality but each democratic state is based at this postulate otherwise u would have a class socienty.
And I wrote that there should be a rating for children.

I'll make my a-lvl tests this year but not in English, it is my 2nd worst folder.

To be honest I didn't know what to write about censorship in general. It's a delicate question which can be answered in many different ways because it's also a question of your personal development and the individual system of values.

Mmhh...English is that easy. Sometimes it's boring. But you got another focus on your school for sure.

Your text sounds good. But I'm not sure if you can leave out the "with" in the following sentence:

IMO "to cope" means "meistern/bewältigen" and "to cope with" means "fertig werden mit ...". So when in doubt I'd always write the "with" because "Materialien meistern" just doesn't sound good.

And I don't know if you really mean the word "skilled" because I have the impression that you are talking about experience of life which isn't usually taught at school. Skilled really means "ausgebildet/geschult" and maybe doesn't suit here. I would rather replace this with the word "experienced".

Seems your a rationalist . I believe more in empiricism but thats an English test and not a German test on history of literature... So I think that won't be the all-dominant problem .

The use of this material should be allowed for historical and scientific documentation.

edit: Wow! I've got 13 Points. That is a A-. Best English test I ever wrote. 1,9 mistakes per 100 words.
