This thread is only thought for people with very fast computers, who wanted to increase the graphics of Gothic 3 a lil' bit!

I 've worked with a lot of effort and long testing the configuration settings optimized Gothic 3, where any additional graphics settings in the menu does not show up on "High" were set. Naturally, the system requirements will be slightly higher. But the game looks a lot better. The ini files are created for patch 1.12, 1.52 and 1.60. So who Gothic 3 full graphic splendor wants to enjoy, I should download the file. A detailed ReadMe file is attached. So, nobody doesn 't need to modified the ini's for own usage.

Description:

The package contains three different ini's highly tuned for the most popular versions.
The memory is the most burdened. In parenthesis is how much RAM you should have to get the game with the ini can play well.

Gothic3_Ini_High = high tuned ini's (for >6GB RAM)
Gothic3_Ini_Medium = normal tuned ini's (for 4GB RAM)
Gothic3_Ini_Low = low tuned ini's (for 3GB RAM)

Since there is no sense in the ini's 2GB of RAM to tune, I create spared.

And who wanted to enable anti-aliasing in Gothic 3, need to download this tool. Smoothing the edges currently works only with nVIDIA graphics cards above the G80 chip.

Sorry for my bad english, I 'm from germany.
And the ReadMe file is in german, too. But I hope that you mean, what to do. "Ini" must be copied to the game folder and "gothic3" to my documents.

please note, that the steering is new configured like the old classig Gothic games. Mouse not needed for play. Only for rotation.

Can you make any screenshots?

And how many FPS do you have during gameplay?

I have 4!Well i put it into low because in the medium it lags.(very few of course)!The grafics are awesome!I will make some screenshots too!My system is: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU,E8400,@3,00GHZ,4,OO GBRAM and Invidia Geforce 9800!

well yes, windows xp can't handle more than 4 gm ram, but I have windows xp force edition 4 classic (I want chrome ultra) and all of the FE4 series can handle up to 16 gb. in fact, my motherboard could handle that much. I also have blue ray drive, 2 x hitachi deskstar 7k HDD 500gb each. about the video card I've got ati radeon hd 4800. as for the CPU, 10.6 is the total of ghz I have

Do you think that we are stupid? Your comp is so fake, that it stinks like in the line of 10 km. First of all, there is no Athlon processor with X3, there is only Phenom that has X3. Second, no CPU in the world, that is available to buy has speed of 10.6 ghz, like it is visible in your picture. Third thing, no XP operating sistem can handle more than 4 gb of ram, so it can only detect around 3.25 gb of it, and the rest is spared for WGA, and all the other devices with ram that you have in your comp . The conclusion, your CPU is FAKE, the speed is allso FAKE, that much ram with XP is imposible, plus you have calculatet the amount incorect, 8196 is not posible, since 8x1024=8192. You made up this specs for a computer, and now you are trying to brag whit a comp, that is nothing but FAKE.

I think, it 's a FAKE, too.

1. There 's no Athlon with Triple-Core.
2. "Every" Windows XP with 32-Bit can't support more than 4GB of RAM
3. With 8GB RAM you have 8192MB and not 8196MB.
4. Athlon processors don 't support DDR3 RAM.


So easy you have 16GB of RAM

I can play Gothic 1,2,3 and it's ok, no laggs, maybe on 3 a 2 sec every 15 min
