When i try to start g3 i get "where is the guru?" infront of my eyes. Is there something i can do for it? It woud be realy nice to play again with newest patch.

And i tryed search too, but it gives me only treads from german forum.

The most promising "blind"-guessing hint, do a reinstall like this:

In the case of unexpected errors during the installation try the following recommended tips:

- Uninstall Gothic 3
- Delete the installation folder(s)
- Install the game anew
- Install Community Patch 1.6 (full) anew

If that not helps, give more infos (about your system, when exactly the error appears, what is the exact error-message?).

I deleted whole game before installing, but that didnt help. First when i try to start the game some auto patcher want to install v1.12 even if i have 1.6 already. I just click that away and gothic loading starts. It looks like gothic is going to start but then comes this "where is the guru" message and its sayes:

Uninstall it like explained above, not just delete the folder.

but that didnt help. First when i try to start the game some auto patcher want to install v1.12 even if i have 1.6 already.

There is something wrong, do you really have INSTALLED the patch after downloading it (I'm sorry if this sounds silly),... you should have an icon on the desktop "Gothic III CP.lnk", start the game with that.

Also make sure you have directx 9.0c installed (even if you have installed a DX10, a DX 90c installation is necessary).

Do you have In Game Maps Mod installed? If yes, then uninstall it. It caused me the same problem.

to me this thing happened even worse, but I now instaled patch 1.6 and it really works. Finally I can go in Geldern, Trelis, Silden , Nemora and Nordmar Clans without problem. Yeepee-ka-yeeee =))

Hi ,, I got the same problem,, only thing ive tried is download patch 1.12 but i don't think that makes any sence :P

I saw on the site that u ppl talk about a 1.6v or someting .. is this necessary to play??
