Ive got the five artifacts and the 12 chalices, now I have to
decide which path I want to follow. The only city I havent been
able to reach the orc chieftan is in faring because it requires
you to have 75% reputation. I am only at 32% mainly because Ive
been going the way of the rebels. What I need to know is do I have
to get into that upper area or can I just liberate that city anyway?
I am going to liberate myrtana from the orcs and liberate varant
from the hashishin, will that effect the outcome of the game?

You liberate a town by killing enough orcs in that town. You can start with any orc. Kill him and fight the others until you liberate the town.

In the castle of Faring (75% rep in Faring) you have several quests that I recomend you to do them.
In upper part of the castle in Faring (75% rep with Orcs) you can go only if you followed the orc path.

You can still finish the game if you free Myrthana, Varant and Nordmar.

Yes I have already liberated the maximum 3 cities before they
revolt against you. I was just wondering if there are any important
things in the upper area of faring. Ive done all the quests in and around
faring, but couldnt get the 75% orc rating. I would probably have to
destroy all the rebel camps in myrtana to get near that rating? It was
a lot easier to get the hashishin rating in ishtar! tks

Don't confuse reputation in Faring with reputation for orcs.
Search this forum... there was a discussion about reputation in Faring (I had no problems to build rep to get into the Castle).
You can also take a look at the walkthrough to see what quests you didn't do.
In the Castle you have several quests. In the upper part of the Castle you can probably talk only to Kan.

Finished all the quests in faring and all other quests in
other towns in Myrtana. only ones I couldnt do were the one
against the druids and the rebels, that is why I havent been able
to get the reputation. The only quest which could give me 5% is
the quest to kill anog the rebel leader near silden, but thats no where
near what I need! If kan is in the upper area then I think the improve
armour skill will not be on the agenda as I have read on the forums
that he is the only one that can teach you!
