So, what would you like to see in an addon for Gothic 3? Post your thought-over ideas and maybe, just maybe, Piranha Bytes will stumb upon it, like one does on a Shadowbeast snoring in the bushes.

So, list goes on:

* Smelting gold nuggets into coins,
* Roasting meatbugs,
* More variety in weaponry (so far there are what? 15 swords in-game? What happened to all those in Gothic 1 and 2?),
* Helmets (reimplement the turban, crown of Myrtana and guard's helmets)
* Ancient armour (what, Akasha doesn't have such armor?),
* More armour (The Orcish mercenary and Rebel armours differ only in coloration!),
* More quests for the Hashishin for reputation (why do I have to kill my Water Mage buddies?),
* More quests in Vengard and implementation of people actually rebuilding the city after defeating the siege,
* Vial restocking merchants,
* Possibility to take the MFS Esmeralda back,
* More armours from previous Gothics,

Your thoughts?

theres a way too make that, sell the gold nugets, and ul get gold coins!

u got a point there! more helemts would be cool, i have some ideas:
-gladiator helmet
-paladin helmet(not the "first paladin", the "modern paladin")
-medival style helmets
-beliar,inos,adanos helmets, not just the crown of adanos, the helmet of beliar, the helmet of inos...

* Ancient armour (what, Akasha doesn't have such armor?),

who the hell is akasha? anyway, ancient armors would be cool too, i have some ideas:
-inos paladin armor(a special paladin armor, of course a realy special one hiden in the highest mountain of nordmar! )
-beliar hassassin armor(again, a realy special one, hiden in the deepest hole! )
-gladiator armor
-deamon armor
-keeper of the balance robe(a robe of adanos given by the god himself)

* More armour (The Orcish mercenary and Rebel armours differ only in coloration!),

sory, but i guess u need glasses, the only armor that looks the same in those 2 fractions is the merc and rebel heavy armor, cause the ligh armor of the rebel is very difrent from the merc one, and the medium is difrent too, the problem is like i said, u need some glasses!

ur asking a whole damnd lot dont u think?! anyway, it would be good to see some rebels and even paladins with hamers trying to rebuild the main buildings, but it would be asking a lot to see them realy "rebuilting" the buildings!

now thats talking, i would like to see diego with the shadow armor, lester with the sect novice robe, and gorn with the...well, gorn can stay with the nordmarian armor!
cause there is the mercs armor allready! altough i would like too see templars armor, dragon hunter armor(there are dragons, why not hunting them? they have tresures!)

• Bring back Gothic lock-picking.

• Creating Rune magic in Gothic 2 was awesome - implement the same thing again.

• I think that any fan of the previous games, misses the 'emotional involvement' - Nothing matters in G3. The world has no soul and I never really cared about anything I said or did in the world...not for lack of trying to get attached. Who remembers telling Lester and Gorn about the meeting between Milton and Deigo in G1? Did anyone then also want to be a part of their meetings? There are so many examples of this story 'depth' in the previous games...I want to see it again and it doesn't necessarily need to be done using the same characters.

• I'd still like to see a weight limit introduced.

-At least twice more armours and weapons.
-The new items should be better and have higher prices (I'm 60lvl with paladins armor and have 300.000gold +i need a better armor)
-More Quests
-The new land you'll insert should have a new look & new "civilazation"(a good looking one would be like old china style-with many katanas and samurai guilds and armours).
-The new land should have a territory where powerfull creatures and ancient items exist.To go in there you have to pass a test which only high lvl characters can.
-A new big arena (like the one they in the "Making of" book) which would have two championships.One against humans and another against monsters

Nice thread! According to my point of view there should be a lot inovations in the addon, but, of course, no one will raise interest in PB.

* all major bugs have to be fixed like all that crap with unexisting or crashed skills and often the empty-headed AI of the characters.

* the dialogues have to be more deeper like it was in previous parts of this game. Sometimes I think they just don't make any sence and become more and more similar to TES IV: Oblivion like "go there and bring me that."

* there must be another interesting, complusory and open-ended story line including this one like in NotR. The main quest have to be more and more longer.

* speaking about arenas, they really are good for nothing, more like a wreck than a place, where brave and fairless gladiators are fighting each other. I remember, that once an ork told me marvellous things about the arena in Mora Sul, but, when I got my ass there, it was like a sh*t. These arenas don't make a feeling of fear, death and glory, so morally it's not important to be a champion there.

So, that's my point of view for now.

Actually DEagle, look closely. The leather armour worn by some mercs is a reskin of the light rebel armour. The standard issue armours are nearly identical in terms of textures, as are the heavy ones. I'm not quite sure what allegiance the armour Cor, excuse me, just Angar wears is.

As for the addon area...

The Southern Isles you can access when you liverate Esmeralda and get a crew (again ). I'd love to see a culture based on the concept of old African civilizations, Egypt perhaps, as the Hashishin are clearly based on Middle East civilizations.

What would be the plot? Xardas would require a powerful artifact for his plan, one that'd allow him to open a portal... and it would allow to put even more backstory to the world, showing the origin of the Hashishin (they don't need to be indigenous to Myrtana now, do they?) or asking a question if you use evil to fight evil, are you evil? by the introduction of Shadowmasters, servants of neither Beliar, Adanos or Innos... who are in turn led by Shadowlords, wearing old armours of the Paladins.

Shadowlords would be a special, powerful group capable of drawing power from the three gods, and even if they aren't drawing power from god, they in themselves are immensely powerful and thus a rather tasty snack for Innos or Beliar.

Most fall for Beliar if they fall, though.

well, the leather armor is a guildless armor, like the farmer armor, u said that both rebel and merc armors were equal, but they arent!

but, if ur teling me that u saw merc type armors being used by rebels but in a tone of grey and red, well thats other thing! those are kinda not oficial rebel armors, i mean, u cant buy those in the rebels traders!

I hope PB does not listen to the fans at all, or any "outsiders" for that matter. I'd let them make a game without the influence of fans. That's why G1 & G2 ruled so much.

Well the AI could be more effective and remember more, they tend to forget fast but maybe thats a bug.

More Armour types Variety would ADD to the atmosphere. More Helmets, NO ONE seems to wear helmets which is a shame. :-( Variety would help the Game alot. I would love to see a small addon that adds more life to the game, its a good game, but needs more life. Enemies need to fight more agressive, right now they tend to stand there and take it making it easy to single handedly kill them all, except the arrows and mages. lol

More Weapons and Blueprints for Weapons. Coin Smelter would be cool, make you own get more gold than trading them. Make a Dragon heart available and worth alot on the market?

BIG change VARRIED prices right now ALL the prices Everywhere seem the same? Wouldnt each city have a different price one selling items cheaper than the other? Morrowind had random prices I think, but its been a while.

Last CAN WE Make a mod for this game or is it unmoddable?

Wishes for G3 addon :
-Ur-Shak is here (the orcs are smart now,so he'd be interesting to talk to)
-more armor
-unknown lands included + new population of another species(they should be smart and similar to humans,phisycly and mentally) + other kinds of animals
-Esmeralda is regained from the pirates,after a battle with them
-Esmeralda is used to go to Khorinis (this is a big demand,so only the city and a small part of the wilderness should be included)
-all important caracters should have unique armor (ex. : Lester has novice armor)
-Gorn doesn't look like a gypsy anymore
-more dragons and there should be a counsel of very old dragons,in a place where,supposedly the dragons from Khorinis came (they shouldn't be hostile)
-more helmets
-guilds are included (ex : the "paladin" guild or the "thief" guild)
-the ppl from Vengard should "rebuild" the city after the siege (just ppl hammering houses)
-chapters are again added
-and finnally,after joining a guild,other guild start to hunt you.The more you advance in your guild,the more ppl from other guilds start to suspect you and hunt you.A bounty hunter team would be nice.Because there are headhunter crossbows,we should have headhunters.

These changes are a rather lot.Maybe for G4.But not an addon,that would be too much.Oh,well...hope never dies...

keep it gothic we don't need a new population or 100000000000000000 gold armour(they should make armour cheaper and the gold harder to get like in gothic 2).

Think about it. As disappointed as some of us are, there are people at PB who're extremely proud of what they've achieved - and rightly so. So the game isn't perfect, it doesn't meet everyones expectations, it needs patching, that's no reason for them to have to read some of the slander around this place.

I'm not without blame either because there are many things which I'm not terribly impressed with and I've expressed that here.

Put yourself in their shoes. It wouldn't be easy to read a lot of these pages.
