Howdy,
sorry for writing in English on German forum, I know it is not exactly correct way to do things, but English one is dead so.. sorry :X Playing the game on translated polish version (reason why I do not have latest 2.X version), anyway..
I'm lost trying to find a book that Corristo told me to get as entrance exam "The divine power of the stars"

I did not find it after hours of searching everywhere and google did not help at all, so this is my last resort :X

Anyone who knows of the entrance Q for fire mages?
All I have been given in the Q was "clue"

My thoughts went to north as rivers end there to the sea... checked cave near and the tower with a damn necromant inside with tons of skeleton, to find different book.. and if the book was in chest on the beach.. I might have already sold it :-/ I kinda cleared almost whole map where I could even scratch enemies in chapter 1 just walking around..

Any idea or help, even the command for Marvin to just finish and complete the quest would be helpfull at this point :X

I already done with one "save" whole chapter 2 and entered 3, and when I tried to become mage (as in original Gothic you do that...) I could not even talk to the mages.. so now I did it again.. to get a quest I cannot finish T.T

If I remember correctly the book is located behind the Waterfall which is close to the old mine.

It's the one next to the little beach and a small cave with the Black Goblins. In Gothic 2 the dragonhunters are located in that little cave.

I hope this helps and it's correct, been awhile since I played that Mod.

A "river" that goes out of the New Camp.
Tiny waterfall just behind the bridge between New camp => Old Mine.


I would never find that.. I just finished game with other load as a guard yesterday.
The "Hint" I got was either badly translated or I really did not understand it.. cause I was searching the places where water flows out, not at the start.. to be fair if they mean literally "Follow the flow from start to finish" and pick every twist.. :-/ This stagnant lake in new camp I did not even take it as a "source" for the river.. maybe that was my bad.

To be fair.. playing an already outdated mod, that has been translated from German => Polish => Czech, that is way further on its German side.. was probably not the best move I could have done :-)
I have to say I made a mistake tiny bit.. I will be trying out the mage gameplay here (now that I can become a mage) and try out Othello, that should be updated to max and we even have guides and stuff around changes so.. hopefully wont be lost as now.
Really too bad that "English" community completely died out
