I had some questions about patch and mod compatibility. I own G2 Gold English. I installed Playerkit 2.6f, Odyssee System Pack 1.8, (because I have Odyssee Eng mod) Atariar Eng, LHiver Eng Edition and Gothic II Gold Remaster. Installed in that order.

I want to install the Iron Keep CP 2.10. Will the CP cause problems? Or is the CP obsolete now?

I see no recent activity in threads about the CP. is it dead?

Oh, I forgot. The 2.6 patch was installed first.

Also, Is Ninja Required for the CP? like G1.

Also is the Player Kit 2.8 needed? or is it fine with 2.6f?

Should be fine, but I guess you also need the normal System Pack (or Union with integrated System Pack 1.9, which I would recommend) for the other Modifications. Maybe that's a problem, since you can only install one specific System Pack, not two different ones.

Version 2.6f should be fine. In my opinion version 2.8 doesn't deliver anything important.

P.S.: Feel free to take a look at my Manual for Graphical Enhancement of Gothic 2, where you can also see which Patches etc. you need. You don't have to use the graphical stuff of course, in case you want the "Old School" experience.

Windows 10 Says it`s an unsafe file. But I kept it anyways.

When installing, It says I already have it installed. ???

I have Steam version installed, With Archolos Mod.

Maybe it has to be installed before Archolos.

Then again, it might be because of the 2.6 fix, System Pack or PlayerKit which is installed automatically.

Maybe only works on CD version 2.7? (which is A problem-CD version will not install on Win 10) And needs to be installed first.

I found A save file on the internet A long time ago for the original game and I loved it. So, I did it too.

The Definitive Edition seems to crash when switching weapons. (access violation) Not sure why. It`s either the mod or my PC.

I'm never use this Patch, just the SystemPack.


CD-Versions can be installed, but some for Versions it's need a batch-file to do this. Iirc Spine can do it too.
Batch files for Classic and Night of the Raven. (Sorry, i don't know an English installation instruction).

Yeah, I have the tool to extract the archives. But Steam will not recognize it. So, no Archolos. I tried installing the G2 Demo and copying the full game to that. Steam still won`t find it. That`s why I had to buy it on Steam. Now I have 4 copies of G2. (1 NoTR). That`s o.k. I love the game. Since I have owned the games. 20 years, I think I have completed over 50 times. both.

I really hope they don`t screw up the remake.
