I've hit what appears to be a game breaking bug, which is frustrating because I'm over 60 hours into the game. Harley, one of the NPCs crucial to completing the main quest "Origin - The Power of the Center" does not appear where his is supposed to. When the quest is active and I stand at the spot where he is supposed to be, the quest arrow is pointing downwards, which indicates that he spawned underground somewhere.

I've checked back many, many times in growing desperation, and he never shows up above ground. I've tried sleeping and returning at different times. I've teleported away and back again. I'm far past the point of reverting to an older save (even assuming that would do any good).

I'm currently in Chapter 2. I've done all the rest of Zardom's sub-quests, but since I can't complete the "Origin - The Power of the Center" quest without Harley, all Zardom says is I still have more work to do. As far as I can tell, that means I can't continue any further into the game. Do I have any other options to get Harley to show up above ground or to skip past the quest, or is this the end of ELEX for me?

Depends on your platform: PC or video game console?

If the latter I fear you'll need to revert to an older save.

On PC I could fix Harley's navigation data in your save (where Harley is in the underground).

Hmm, server takes too long to respond (while I can access my images on upload.worldofplayers).

Can you access the save from that link for yourself?

edit: just uploaded one of my own saves and worked.

Hmm, nope. I was wondering about that. After I uploaded the file, it gave me 3 possible links to copy. Two of them were .com and one (for an img post) was .de. And the instructions did say it should be .de. So I'm not sure if that is an issue that somebody should look at with that tool so it doesn't suggest .com URLs anymore.

That being said, I can get to the file if I change .com to .de. So...

ok. That worked. The save's in game name is "Save1", afaics. So keep fingers crossed I'll check that beast and will try to fix it.

It worked! I was able to talk to Harley. I already had the part he needed, so now there is an Alb raider sitting in Origin. I was able to complete the quest "Origin - The Power of the Center", and I should be able to proceed on from there!

I would just like to say thank you. You made my day/week/month! I'm grateful to be able to continue with this wonderful game. I really appreciate you taking the time to help me out. You are a living saint.

"Saint"? I'm only the author of the ELEX save game modifier (see Nexus mods).

edit: well, funny thing, I went to the position where Harley was lost (-127862.742188 50180.886719 -111258.664063) using my Dynamic Teleport mod and surprisingly found a jeep there:

I guess poor Harley couldn't bear the thought of being parted from his beloved jeep.
