The Union already contains "Report Version" (v2.6) and "PlayerKit" (in v2.8 that is the improved v2.6f) and "LAA" (but here it's simply named as the "4GB patch") aspects, making three of your guide's steps redundant and obsolete. The Union even recognizes and covers the classic Gothic II as well, making those "v1.30 steps" irrelevant as well. Actually, Union covers Gothic, Gothic Sequel, Gothic II, and Gothic II Night of the Raven for those three particular "patches" and "modkits", making three points of your guide *unnecessary* for each game.
Do you even mod Gothic, bro?

Thank you for letting me know, but that's not new to me.
I know everything you said, but as you can see I only provide Union itself (Link = Download section of the German World of Gothic) but not the Primary Patch (which includes the things you mentioned; not Union itself) and of course there is a reason why I made this decision.
I already talked to Don-Esteban about it, I even asked him if he could add the Primary Patch to the Download section too, but he told me that he can't do it, because the Primary Patch contains things like the Sequel.exe which could bring problems with the Copyright owners (in this case it's even worse, because nobody really knows who's actually the owner).
Also the Player Kit 2.8 had a controverse discussion here in the forum and maybe you already noticed, that you can still only get the Player Kit 2.6f in the Download section. So there are even two reasons (maybe more?), why you can't get the Primary Patch here and why I can't and don't want to provide it in my thread (unfortunately). I don't want to get any trouble with the owners of the forum and / or with the German law, so I will only add stuff which won't cause any trouble and which is not problematic in any way (especially law-wise).
I'm sure that you can understand now why you can still find the Patches, the Mod Kits and the LAA 4GB Hack separately in my thread. So all of these points are not redundant, obsolete and unnecessary; there is just no other way, but luckily it's not a big problem since that way works pretty well too.
Besides of that, there is another thing which I can't provide here in this thread: The 720p videos.
I had included them before, but a Moderator of this forum let me know, that it's kind of problematic to offer them here, because they are not falling under the the Gothic Mod Licence (so it's not allowed to do anything with it).

I'm not a Modder, so the answer to your question is no. I'm just a guy who wants to help a little with these threads, because a lot of players don't really know how to get Gothic started on a modern PC system and probably also don't know anything about the possibilities to improve the graphics of the old Gothic games.
I just had the feeling, if I won't do it, nobody will (to be honest: I was wondering why there isn't something like this already).

Alles klar, kein Ding .

Also vielen Dank trotzdem!

So, the only reason you include those forced unneeded steps in your guide is because the files you want to link to are *NOT* (and can *NOT* be) included on WoG.de's download servers?
The loads of newfags using this forum as their personal helpdesk pop up every other day and some of them *will* find your thread, and you will purposely feed them old information because you can't link to materials outside this very place?
I don't even want to delve into the "those I provided might be older but I feel them being better!!!1one" topic. Czudak "over and out".

Yes, exactly.

I don't really see a big problem to be honest. Of course it's much more convenient to use the Primary Patch instead of installing everything separately, but it's not a big deal either and in the end the result is the same, isn't it? There are even some people here who prefer to install everything separately, but that's another story.

We don't have to understand or even like the decisions of the site owner (or my decisions if I make any). I just accept (not to say respect) it and luckily there are still other solutions if I can't provide the Primary Patch for Union here.
And as I said before, it's not about the old way is better than the new way with the Primary Patch, it's just a law issue and I can understand that nobody wants to struggle with the law here in Germany. I know in Russia, maybe even Poland (your name sounds Polish; sorry if I'm wrong) it's not that strict so most people seem not to care about it at all, but here it's just different. Why should I (or especially the site owner) risk to get a problem for something like this? It's not like I'm getting money for it though.

Also, the term "newfags" is a no-go imo. The term is derived from "new faggott", I think you can tell the homophobia from that, this term comes from 4chan users who like to feel "totally edgy", using this term is embarrassing. To use the term fag or faggott is insulting.

Grafikproblem
Was kann man da machen?

Habe ich was verpasst? ^^
