Gothic 3 in japanese version can you buy on Amazon (amazon jp)
Gothic 1 & 2 (Box-Version) is no longer sold in Japan.
You can it only buy on Steam in Japan
But it's like all pb games not in japanese language.
Great holy armies shall be gathered and trained to fight all who embrace evil. In the name of their gods ships shall be built to carry our warriors out amongst the stars and we will spread Origin to all the unbelievers.

Hi,
no, in no game of piranha bytes is there a japanese translation.
Only the packaging of the game have japanese language, the game is not in japanese.
The same applies to Risen 1-3 and Elex.

I'm not sure about that. The Japanese copied the Chinese letters. Only the voice is totally different.
That may be true: There is no Japanese voice for any PB game available.
I guess the Traditional Chinese translation of Gothic3 is readable for Japanese people.
PS:
The picture shown by Voron256 looks exactly as the Chinese version offered on ebay.
Because the letters are identical in both languages there may be no difference between the Chinese and Japanese version.

That´s wrong. Japan and China have different language and different letters.
Japan have Hiragana, Katagana, Romanji (our letters) and Kanji (2000-6000 letters, this letters are the same of Hanyu Pinyin but with another meaning)
China have only Hanyu Pinyin (88.000 letters)
If you can read chinese you can not read japanese.

Usually, English titles are written in Katakana in Japanese. In this case you can see Kanji on the cover, which makes me believe that this might not be the japanese but maybe the chinese version. Also, I cannot see any Hiragana in the text above the title, which you should probably see given that they are used for grammatical purposes. If written in Katakana, the title could probably look like this: ゴシック
You can see these Katakana on the japanese version of Arcania: Gothic 4 too:

Hi, that's definitely a chinese box with simplified chinese characters on the cover.

Mainland China is using simplified characters which are differs from that in Japan, Taiwan or Hongkong. Thats true that Japan copied chinese characters, but after the foundation of the PRC, the government changed the chinese characters to the simplified ones. As an example: 东京 (dongjing) is the chinese name for Tokyo, in Japanese it is written 東京. The first character in both names means east, but the japanese one is more complex with more strokes being used.

Thats not true, the meaning of japanese kanjis and chinese traditional or simplified characters are the same, the japanese kanjis (which are originated from traditional chinese ones) are just more complex to write as stated above. Pinjin is only a tool as an romanization system of chinese characters -> 北京 (Běijīng = pinyin).

Aber das gilt nur für die Editionen für Konsole? Risen 1 gibt es demnach nicht als japanische Edition oder?

Leider sprudeln die Infos in Japan nicht gerade über eure Spiele daher hoffte ich darauf mich auf Amazon verlassen zu können.
Publisher für die japanischen R2-Versionen war Ubisoft Japan. Vielleicht findet man dort noch was.
Ich kanns Dir nicht sagen, ich kann Japanisch weder lesen noch sonstwie verstehen.
