Liberate Montera?
Im wondering how to liberate Montera? I already finished the 3 rebel camp quests and they told me they were waiting for the sign of Bradley. Ronald in Okara do not want to risk a frontal attack on the city...
Do i have to kill the Orc leader in Montera? And if so how? There are way too many orcs around for me to act like superman.

Just start to attack orcs at the gate and work your way in, thats how i did it atleast pretty easy

Hmm.. yea i have been thinking about doing that but i feel a lot better doing it by a/the quest.
Hope someone figures it out... in the meantime i will clear the Orc nest in front of Vengard, hehe.

Well, i dont see another way, thats is THE way to do it i guess, but im waiting to liberate montera until some1 tells me how to finish the "how loyal are merceneries" quest so i can get some extra exp

If you have some "fire ring" or something like that scrolls , you can use them in the chamber where the leader of the orcs is .After about ... 2 of them , the guards will probably die.
Another thing you could try - is go and beat some orcs , but don't kill them.Knock em out and take the weapons (that they drop and from their inventory). After they get up , the will still hold a spear / krush whatever in their hands , but they will only fight with their fists if you start the revolution.
And , one more tactit would be to go somewhere that the orcs can only reach you one at a time ( the tower on which that lazy orc was sleeping is a good location) .Just sit on the stairs and wait for the orcs to come one by one , and take them down.
I tihnk the battle of Montera was the coolest ,although I didn't complete the game yet.Looking at the town after the battle , with all those dead people...really looked like a warzone.
And also , after killing almost all the orcs , some mercs that were still alive started to run like hell .I was chasing one of them , when suddenly some slaves armed with schytes attacked him. They knocked him down , and they both wanted to deal the "finishing blow" at the same time. One of them killed the merc , but the other one somehow injured the other slave, which got mad , and started attacking the other one.So , after succesfully killing the merc , the slaves now fought eachother...I was laughing so hard I almost had a heart attack...

Okay i finally got it as a quest now.
I just talked to Varek and then went back and talked to Sanford. He told me to kill Varek and he will tell the other rebels to stand by.

Did the rebels attack when you killed Varek?

For some strange and stupid reason they did not. The 3 rebel camps were apparently neutral lol.
But the remain citizens/slaves actually attacked the Orcs after i killed Varek and 1 more Orc. But i would have liked the rebel camps to have given a hand cuz it is kinda crazy... have to quicksave a lot and the slaves are shitty at helping out.

I had exactly the same problem. Is this a bug?

Probably. This game is so buggy anyway but it would have been nice to see the 3 camps help out.
I saw that when Montera is liberated and you come back later the 3 main characters at those camps are gone. Maybe they're inside Montera i dunno have'nt checked yet.

I think the guys at the rebel camps are renamed to 'Rebel'.
I agree with all the posts here about the lack of help from the surrounding rebels, would have been nice as I pretty much took out all the guards on my own.
As someone mentioned it was an eerie feeling walking around all those dead corpses, a total bloodbath. Picked up lots of loot in the process.
I was worried that the population wouldnt return to town but I ran off and returned later to find it full of freed slaves and rebels . Shame some of the rebels we were introduced to werent there.
One funny that happend during the fight was to do with the wheat farm by the windmill. There's a massive ugly brute of a creature occupying a old and decrepit hut opposite whom I decided to leave alone as he looked a little too eager to kill. Well as I was taking some health potions recovering from inside the town when all the occupants of the wheat field (orc mercenaries) ran out and through the creatures makeshift home, probably towards the rebel camp or me. I spent five minutes watching all the orc mercenaries get butchered by the beast (with the help of a nearby rebel).
Crazy game.

I don't agree on this because i can see that only the main characters are gone. Like the one who came up with the password and wanted you to kill the cows had 2 other rebels at his camp but only those 2 are still there. The one who wanted you to get rid of the mercenary had 3 others with him and only they are left.

Damn, I thought that I'll have to tell something special to Orcs, enter to the city with peasant-slaves or finish quest with bundles of weapon.
I 'lil bit disguast by Pirahna creativity - I won't alter the fact that the battle is awesome but there there could be dozens of other ways to make a revolution
A question - how many hours of gameplay will remain after "Montera" (excepting side quests)?
-
I have only 67 reputation in Montera and I've talked to everyone and have done all quests excepts "How Loyal..." -quest. There is no more people to ask about their loyalty in city. Can someone post a list of quests in Montera and where to get it?
I'd be superb thankful to you!

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me." - Psalm 23:1-4

Screw, this bloody battle took me 1,5h (with multum of load's) on medium difficulty!
NPC r tragical - instead of big-battle where everyone is involved I've to deal with bands of marksman and hand-to-hand fighters mostly alone.
Our spy-ally is standing stiff until we r attacked.
The only rebeliant who had crossed the city gate was Mason - rest is defending back ;p.
I'm dissapointed that PB spent so much time on making fantastic game but wih plenty of smaller or bigger bugs
-
Where exactly do you see how much reputation you have in the cities? I only see the Rebel, Orc etc etc. Reps.

Just click on the boxes with the icons of the towns, like Reddock (a red box with a white tree near the coast) or Ardea (the white house in the green box (I think it's a green box anyway)) and you'll see the number next to the Orcs, Rebels, Nordmar,...

Cool. Thx mate.
