tell me why Canthar is better than Sarah
There will be a huuuge questline later on. One of the last quests is to bring Sarah out of the jail. ( obviously, if she isnt in jail, this quest cant be done).
Its one of the last quests of a whole quest Line, so you dont miss to much. but since you cant end the Questline anymore, you dont get the rewards from ending it
-
Wo kriege ich nun Gift her?

rewards from entire quest line because Sarah isn't in jail?! wth is this?? this must have been fixed by now.
-

@ masha no fix, one of the core concepts from returning are consequences, so try another run
@ hirt

I don't get it, how many quests like this are in the game? (no point in starting new run if I do this again with another quest) you mean I ruin entire long future quests just because of a single choice in chapter 1?
you say this is not a bug, but if it stops final reward from such a long quest, how is it not a bug? maybe you are confused and meant to write that I just miss 1 small reward from add on to quest but still finish quest fully
what is the final reward that I am missing? is it just exp, gold and some crap weapon? is the quest stays bugged and never finished? this is very strange in balance terms that a quest work like that.

As Tantaar already said: its not a bug, its actually a feature. Retruning is not ment to be played perfectly through the first run( and honestly: with so many builds you can try it, it would be a waste to just play this game once). They did it on purpose, so people who play it the second or third time, will still see new things. Things they didntdo correctly on their first run , will keep their "re-starts" still fresh and new if they do it correctly at their next runs.
But as I said earlier: Returning is not ment to be played PERFECTLY. Not even in 5 runs, and it is NOT needed either. This game is so huge, you can miss 25% of it and still have a good playthrough.
Missing a lot of stuff doenst destroy your save, neither does it make impossible to get strong. And I mentioned that earlier, but yet again: 20LP for each level up is huge,no matter how much you missed out, you will
always be on the bright side with so many LP.
but to answer your last question: you dont miss out on crucial items. You just will miss out of some kings sorrel( around 5-8),thats basicly it. There are a few more items(like a black ore) which you will miss, but you dont need so many of them
anyways

@ masha
as I wrote the consequences are a feature and yes it´s also a feature if you miss one small quest in the first chapter or do the worn decision that you maybe will miss great reawrds even in the 7. chapter.
@ Salat

5-8 kings sorrel? OMG that is like 5-8 Dex/Str potions!!
ok let's say I restart the game, are there any more stupid quests like that I need to know about? don't tell me I might miss 25% of content, I am going to play through everything in a single play-through no matter what! only thing I will miss is main guilds and different builds.
btw.. since you are an expert of this mod. does Str effect weapon damage? because I've noticed I go from 5 per hit damage to 6-7 per hit damage with added Str. only thing that raises is weapon Cri which I gain more often with melee weapon skills. is this how it supposed to work? I will always deal very low basic attack damage?

first of all: I am definitely not a pro , sry to disappoint you
but now to your comment: dont worry, you dont miss out of those dex potions. The game is full of Kings sorrel, there are probably 70 % more kings sorrel then Goblin berrys, so those 5-7 kings sorrel deoenst matter. Theyo nly matter if you use them for another permanent potions like Life poions^^
second: returning is full of huge questlines, which can be "destroyed" at the beginning. Naming all of them is really to much^^
Bust I will name 2-3 for now^^
First one : dont bring sarah to jail
second: dont fail Gerbrand quest. After you fisnished it successfully, talk again to him and LISTEN carefully what he sais( he will open up another huge questline)
Third: dont bring Fernando to jail BEFORE you did a quest for someone called "gallahad"
After that, you can do that
