What would you rate as your top 3 most heart-stopping, shock-filled moments?
Mine are as follows:
3. The Razor that jumps out of the ruin near William's body in Jharkendar.
2. Although it only shocks first time around, the Seeker at the gate as you leave the Valley of Mines after triggering Ch 3.
1. But first prize, because it ALWAYS makes me jump, the bird that suddenly and loudly caws AWK AWK AWK when you are running up past the pyarmids, just at the bend in the road, and listening to the soothing music. I've run that way dozens of times and it never fails to exercise my heart.

Healing potions: the case for addiction (Book title in Divine Divinity)

The worst one for me is one you haven't mentioned yet:
At the beginning of the ice region in the Valley of Mines there is a small cave with a chest in it. Try to open it and a very loud orc spawns behind you.
That one got me several times.

You're right, Zephir, that is right up there - got me a few times too. Can't believe I left it out!

1. First appearance of a stone guardian, when I was a kid.
2. Walking around in the forest at night and hearing a weapon being drawn but you cannot see the enemy.
3. What Zephir said.
Not necessarily in that order, they're all pretty good.

The one I clearly remember: Inside Juan's cave in Jharkendar were 3 swamp golems.
It must have been a glitch (3 misplaced spawns?), because it wasn't my first playthrough and I knew the location of all swamp golems in Jharkendar. Well, I ran away, because I was no match against 3 of those golems at that time (dex/bow build). They followed me for a while. I went back later, the golems were gone, but Juan and his friend were dead.

Great! Wanted to mention the same thing! I probably felt a heart-beat-rate of like 180!
And this was so unexpected since i thought: "oh, it's not a strange world like this "jharkendar", but the mine valley which i know as precisely as the real world of my home town"
