[Blender] Armor Issue (crash, rigging, i don't know)
Hey everyone, I wanted to create an armor similar to the one from the cancelled Gothic sequel

It obviously doesn't work in game and crashes (access violation, will update with logs later).
Steps done:
# Changed appearance of existing armor
# Merged two skulls (skull.3ds) in the scene
# They still are two different entities, named Skull1 and 2 (with the zm_ prefix)
# Connected them to the main body ( zm_Sld_Tm)
# Compiled
# Access Violation error
# Restart game
# Shows armor without skulls, and different texture
I have a couple questions:
#1: How do I join the skulls to the main armor, specifically how do I rig them onto a bone? I fear some of the issues are that the skulls aren't exactly connected to the armature, but I'm a noob with Blender and couldn't find anything helpful on this site.
#2: I have added to the normal guard armor two skulls, which are .3ds files. Does that compromise the compiling in-game? They're two different formats after all.
I'll upload the files shortly, so you can have a look at them yourselves.

In Requiem, my modification, I've already added most of the sequel's subplots without altering them much I'm all for collaborations, for sure!

Hey vic,
If u sent me your Model(s) as asc and 3ds i can rig The skulls to the bones.
If u Dont want to share.. Attach the skulls to your armor. It Has to be one Single Object.
After attaching you have to rig Them with 100% to the shoulder Bones. Then they should work

I've already uploaded the files for all to download and share =) They're at the bottom of my original post! There's the .blend file format and the .asc compiled, yet not working, armor!

Send me a PM!! I would ever have a question to you! The armor is not finished yet ... send the finished model today! You just have to improve the texture!

Wie ich die Situation einschätze bist du ein Verfechter des alten Gothic Feelings und Stils. Hast du schonmal daran gedacht deine Kreation öffentlich verfügbar zu machen? Ich bin mir sicher viele Fans des alten Flairs würden gefallen daran finden!
Also ich ahbe sehr sehr sehr viel content eingebaut!
Alle rüstungen verbessert...also hände, beinschienen, gürtel ect. drangebaut!
neue Tiere wie schweine und hühner... rehe und hasen.
neue texturen für die ganze welt...
im minental hinter dem orkwall ist nun auch was...also man kommt auch durch ein tor hinter den wall...
und vieles mehr!

So ich habe nun auch mal so eine Rüstung erstellt!
Das einzige was mir nicht so gefällt ist die matschige Gotic 2 original textur! Kann evtl jemand diese textur überarbeiten, das sie bisschen besser ist? Zb wie die Rüstungstexturen der Reloaded Mod?
Wenn die Textur passt, würde ich sie auch in die Modderdatenbank laden!

With the help of Joey1990, I've been able to "jazz" it up a bit, with some retexture too.

Personally I like the version without the dragonslayer helmet more, but nevermind: your armor looks just gorgeous!

Welp, nevermind what I said in pm XD How did you do the visor-grid? Custom-made alpha? I tried using the existing texture but came up REALLY shitty :P
