I just did this quest and there were only 3 Young Wolves in the camp. I ran around a bit but could not see that any of the beasts in the area had killed a wolf. No wolf had run past me down the hill to Pepe's sheep: I ran down there and checked.

I had the option to tell Pepe I had killed all the wolves, and I got the xp for the quest - I guess one wolf had somehow died somewhere around there.

I reloaded the save I did before going up to the wolf camp, and all 4 wolves were in the camp.

Did anyone else find only 3 wolves? It's new to me.

No, I always found 4 wolves there.
