    Our team has started our work to a new character – the amazing support class code-named "Support 76". Game designers made a vision of this character and focus group participants and provided some excellent references.
    But we still need your help! We would like to hear your opinion, and hope you will tell us about the most lovely support characters and their abilities you liked in other games.
    What is your ideal supportive character? If you want to offer something for Warhold, please consider the setting of the game.


    In your opinion the support character should:
    1) Just heal allies.
    2) Cast buffs and debuffs.
    3) Control the battlefield.


    Please, share your thoughts and what are you think about. This is very important for us!

    1. AOE effect which buffs allies and simultaneously debuffs enemies.
    2. Impact on the game environment, through which the player can create dangerous zone for the enemy, forcing opponents to make difficult decisions in combat.
    3. Ability through which you can interact with the corpses of enemies, and gain benefit for your character.


    We have not forgotten about the opportunity to heal your team, but we have taken a small interest of the community in this ability. Therefore, it will be combined with the attack ability. In this case, the attack is going to be used with a projectile (grenade, bottle, sphere).

    1. Work on improving the game was a success. The new game mechanics will be further developed and on the following tests we will start working on fine tuning.
    2. The balance of the characters turned out to be close to the ideal, which will certainly become an excellent foundation for the further development of combat modes.
    3. We have taken into account your opinions on the filling of the fighting arena and will work on its improvement.
    4. Work on optimization and network code will continue. We have already achieved significant success, and you will be able to check it very soon.
    5. The focus group and the testers have chosen combat interface, which you will be able to see in the nearest testing!

    Hello everyone!
    While our team is preparing new client for the next testing, I would like to talk about new game mode that will be available in the nearest alpha test.


    The game mode is called "Arena". The rules are extremely simple. Your characters will be transferred to the special arena for gladiatorial fights. The battle will be in the format 3 vs 3, with the victory counted ONLY after the COMPLETE destruction of the enemy team.

    I would like to draw your attention to the fact that the time of the battle is limited. If you do not have enough time, the system will activate an additional timer, but all players will be visible on the map.If this time is not enough, then the match will continue with the debuff "Damage", which permanently damages all living characters. Will you say that it is impossible to survive with this option? Anything can happen, so we foresaw a draw option, when after the second extra time, at least one player remains in the opposing team.


    During the alpha testing team members will be selected randomly, but later we will be able to add feature of creating your own team.

    Yes it is a staff, but a very versatile staff. In addition to direct attacks, it can generate a clot of spores that heal your allies or inflict damage to your opponents. There are other ways to use the staff, but we will talk about them later.
    It is already clear that the Druid turns out to be an extremely dangerous and popular character. We are 100% sure that after the "field tests" many players will choose Druid as their main character.

    In this diary we would like to talk about the ultimate abilities. Hearing the word "ultimate" you could already guess, that this is something extremely dangerous and lethal. But before we talk about specific abilities of the characters, we would love to discuss general principles of the accumulation and use of energy for these abilities.

    1. Ultimate consists of two parts. First one is a visual indicator of points needed to accumulate for the first, second or third charge. Charges themselves are displayed in a form of yellow bars around the indicator. Once you get at least one charge, you can immediately activate your ultimate skill. But keep in mind, that each charge gives the ultimate an additional effect and scaling.

    2. If your character is killed, you lose all the points, but keep the acquired charges. All charges can be lost only if you use the ultimate. Notice, that if you used an ultimate with 1 or 2 charges, the accumulation points will also be lost.

    3. Each character has a unique ultimate skill and an individual way of accumulation ultimate points. That said, the number of points gained heavily depends on what you do with a certain hero.

    We continue to talk about our work. This diary is dedicated to our Angel of Death - Reaper. And like every decent Angel of Death, he must have wings and a portal into Purgatory. Let's take a look at the secret Reaper’s base and see how they prepare for the upcoming battles!

    As you can see, guys are trying hard, practicing standard movements and experimenting with the environment. They perfectly understand that every extra second, spent on opening portal or summoning wings can be costly.

    Of course, they do not limit themselves to only on laboratory site. On the following frames, we see how Reaper is trying on different wings. Yes, not all models fit perfectly, but don’t worry, the rescue team does not sleep.

    Hello everyone!
    In one of the past diaries, we examined the general rules for the accumulation of the Ultimate points. Today we wanted to talk more about each of the skills.


    Let's start with the Marauder. His ability is called the "Sanguinary Shroud". After activation, the Marauder envelops the area around him with the "Sanguinary Shroud", causing the following effects:
    •1 Charge: Makes allies immune to crowd control effects and makes enemies vulnerable, increasing incoming damage
    •2 Charges: Additionally, the Shroud blocks the line of sight of the enemies staying inside the area
    •3 Charges: Enemies caught into the Shroud cannot see anyone except the Marauder


    The next hero will be the Reaper and his skill - "Soul Reaping". When activated, the Reaper for some time violently attacks the opponents in front of him. But this is not all, for each additional charge the hero receives a special effect:
    •1 Charge: Reaper is immune to crowd control effects
    •2 Charges: Additionally, slowing area is spawned on the Reaper's path
    •3 Charges: Additionally, Reaper shoots projectiles in front of him, damaging the enemies


    "Phantom arrows" Sniper - extremely dangerous ultimate in skillful hands. Your help to the team will be appreciated.
    •1 Charge: Flares all the enemies on the map, making them visible through walls
    •2 Charges: Additionally, Archer's arrows are ignoring the environment, flying through any obstacles
    •3 Charges: Additionally, Archer's arrows are hunting the enemies, automatically aiming to nearby targets on their path

    Adventures in the alpha version will be in its simplest form. You will be able to collect and send a group of citizens to search for equipment for your heroes. During the campaign there will be a series of events that will determine the outcome of the expedition. The results of the events will depend directly on the skills of the characters sent to the adventures.

    In the next versions of the adventures we would like to include the possibility to make an informed choice during the events, as well as multi-stage campaigns connected by a single storyline. You can get not only equipment, but also valuable resources.

    Let's sum up what our team did in 1.5 months from the last alpha test.


    Let's start with the most inconspicuous, but important event - the optimization of the city. We will not give you absolute values, just say that the load on your system for several important parameters has decreased by ... 11 times. Not bad, right? And we continue to work on this!

    Also in the city there was an opportunity to build buildings and run production cycles in them. You can see how the city dwellers purposefully go to their new job.


    Now you can send people to adventure for useful equipment. While everything is simple, but soon you will have to face the need to make complex decisions and select a strong and balanced team.

    All the characters received ultimatum skills, which can seriously affect the outcome of the battle. You could already read about them in past diaries. We hope that during the next test, you will be able to fully experience them in battle.


    The work on the Druid model is almost complete. Very soon he will take his place in the ranks of our best warriors. Already, all the skills and perks of the Druid passed the stage of internal testing and balancing.

    In addition to domination game mode, we have added new mode - “Arena”. Battles 3 to 3 promises to be very hot. The map where the battle takes place does not imply the possibility of cowardly hiding from the enemy. Only violent attacks are capable of giving victory.

    But we will be cheating ourselves if we will be concentrating only on bug fixing. Yesterday in the evening the Druid took the rightful place among the best fighters of the Fatebinders. Yes, the character has not yet received all of his animations, but the entire arsenal of skills is already available. During the test, you will be able to feel his superior support.

    Today's diary we will begin with the summing up of testing and small announcement. According to the test results, only a couple of significant bugs remained in the combat component of the game, which will be corrected in the near future. Yes, we ran into several unpleasant moments due to the engine update, but we are already working on solving the difficulties that have arisen. In general, the testing was excellent! Thank you for your appearance and many interesting and useful reviews.


    And while we were preparing for testing, our team managed to do the following things:


    The city quarters were partially optimized after the engine was updated. We’ve managed to increase FPS from 5 to 15. Sure, we have a lot of work to do, but we will do it with full devotion!


    By the way, in the nearest builds, windows in buildings will behave appropriately and in the dark time of them will be showered with a pleasant home light, during the day/night cycle.


    Our artists started their work on a new hero (details will be available soon!) And prepared several options for a new scythe for the Reaper, which one do you like the most?

    Game designers changed the game balance again and before the testing they removed the attack on the right mouse click from the Druid. Now his spores heal both allies and damage his opponents. It is much more convenient, don’t you think so?

    We hope that you had a good rest and full of energy for new achievements.
    Our team also returned from the holidays and started to work. In the coming weeks, the main priority will be the release of a new build for testing. But we are not going to leave any other directions either.


    The most interesting and intuitive part at the moment will be a partially updated interface. As we previously announced, the indicators of attack on your character (weak and strong) were added, as well as the “Stun” indicator. The next days our interface artist will finish work on the updated menu of talents and HP indicator.

    Among the snow-capped mountains there is a monastery of reapers. Having arisen in an instant, for half a century now it is a symbol of the power of that which is called Death. There are brave souls who come here for knowledge and strength, there are desperate people who are looking for justice, there are those who came to die. But the present guest is special: he is a Chronicler-monk, whose mission is to leave to his descendants a true story.


    All day he passed from one Reaper to another and quietly questioned everyone, writing down the truth. And so, coming out onto the balcony, pierced by all winds, the monk stood next to the warrior and once again glanced at his powerful figure, completely enclosed in armor with many marks of past battles. Only the living eyes, glowing with the inner light of a fanatical faith in their Lady, and heavy breathing, spoke of the fact that before him a living person.


    The Chronicler bowed and quietly whispered the question. He knew that he was talking to a representative of the first Reapers. For many fifty years only a few have been honored to speak with one of the Fingers of Death - the commander of the army of reapers.


    Hearing the question, the tall warrior turned his head slightly. A few seconds of silence clearly demonstrated that the person is thinking something over. But then, coming to a decision, he began to talk. It seemed that every word was nourished by his icy fury and contempt.


    -Do you want to know the truth, Chronicler? Your dedication deserves encouragement, - the mighty warrior gave a barely audible chuckle. Once upon a time I was a simple farmer. Growing bread is hard but honorable work. It is a pity that all the honor begins and ends with these words. Our Fatebinder treated us like cattle. For him, only money and magical experiments were important. Every fall, we were left just enough so that we did not die of hunger. This went on until the time when the sea came to our lands. My village has become extinct almost completely. Do you know what it means to bury your family? I found out.


    The Reaper interrupted for a while, waiting for the Chronicler to write down after him. Noticing that the monk froze in anticipation, he continued.


    -It was a truly damn year. The plague did not leave us a chance either. But this did not lead me to serve Her. It was done by the tax collectors of the Fatebinder that they came to the village in the autumn. They were not touched by our grief. That's when I killed for the first time. Further all as in a fog. Attacks on the Sovereign’s servants, raids on warehouses, blood ... a lot of blood!


    A sudden chill ran through the Chronicler's body, which did not hide from the tenacious look of the first reaper.


    -I tried to kill only those who serve the Sovereign. Revenge moved me, but I did not lose my head. Soon I had associates. We really got a lot of problems. So much that we sent a large squad.


    A cloud of steam escaping from under the horned helmet with a sigh forced the Chronicler to raise his eyes. It was evident that the Reaper was once again experiencing long-past events.


    -We were blocked in old ruins.No chance to escape or win. We understood that this was the end and, saying goodbye to each other, prepared for the attack, - after a few seconds, the Reaper uttered the following words in a different tone. He could hear the elevation and spirituality, - It was at this moment that She appeared to us. For a few moments I understood everything. I understood how miserable and insignificant I was. I understood how pathetic the sovereigns are in their desire to subjugate their divine power. I changed. There was no longer a farmer. There was only the Reaper who came for the souls of the enemies!


    A minute passed in a minute, but the warrior kept silent, thinking about something far away. The monk did not dare to interrupt the meditation of one of the Fingers of Death. The Chronicler had plenty of patience. It is necessary only to wait a little, and the descendants will learn the true history of the Reapers.
