Danke.

I do not understand points 6 &7 steps for install in G1.
In _work\data\Anims\Humans.mds add the lines as indicated in _work\data\Anims\Humans.mds.additions.
Do the same analogous for _work\data\Anims\MDS_Overlay
\Humans_BowT2.mds.additions and _work\data\Anims\MDS_Overlay\Humans_CBowT2.mds.additions. those 2 files are not exist in standard Gothic package .I have copied them to mdsoverlay and cancel ".additions" in the name of file.
Backup and delete the following files
_work\data\Anims\_compiled\HUMANS.MDH
_work\data\Anims\_compiled\HUMANS_BOWT2.MDH
_work\data\Anims\_compiled\HUMANS_CBOWT2.MDH
Do Ineed to copy them o gothic/_work/anims/_compiled/ ??
those 2 files are not exist in standard Gothic package .
All these files are packed in [Gothic]/Data/anims.VDF and need to be unpacked with the Gothic VDFS-Tool. If you do not have the tool in [Gothic]/_work/Tools/VDFS-Tools you can download it here.
Once you have those files, proceed as in the instructions (add the lines from the ".additions" files and so on).
I forgot that the files don't ship with the mod kit in unarchived form. I will add these instructions to the installation instructions.
EDIT: Also for the new animations to work, you need to remove or rename the anims.VDF file.
step 6 solved - also I have copied those files from gothic 1 freeaim.exe package.
Wait. What is this freeaim.exe? I have never provided such a file. Be careful with third-party files (especially exe-files) and possibly malicious content. I can't offer support for that.
First off: What you are concerned with right now are only the animations. Without them (steps 6 and 7) GFA should already fully work, just without the possibility to move while aiming. In the LeGo thread you said
Zitat von pawbuj
Well there is no crash but free zeilung still does not works. there is no aim trigger on the screen.
Is this fixed by now? If not, the animations won't fix that. If the problem still persists, post some more details of what you mean by "aim trigger" and we can figure that out.
Now about the animations. I forgot about the "VDFS phyiscal first"-option that Gothic 1 provides. With it, it's a lot easier:
From the get-go Gothic 1 does not have the directory Gothic/_work/DATA/Anims. However, it should have been added with the files of GFA, with a directory called "GFA" inside, containing a bunch of ASC-files.
Run the VDFS-tool (shipped with the mod development kit or found here) and open the file Gothic/Data/anims.VDF (by pressing the "..."-Button next to "Filename"). You will see the directory tree of all included files. Extract the following three files into your Gothic installation:
Now add the lines of text from the ".addition" files into respective files above. Make sure you add the lines before the two closing brackets "} }" at the end of each file, like so:
Code:
// ...
[new lines]}}
Run your mod with the "VDFS phyical first" option ticked. This, of course, won't be necessary when you pack everything into a mod-file in your final mod. (Do not remove/rename the file Gothic/Data/anims.VDF, that information was wrong, my bad.)
Sorry for all the confusion. I forgot that animation files in Gothic 1 are maintained a bit different from Gothic 2. I revised the wiki entry accordingly.
So I checked your scripts. They are mostly fine. However, you didn't even fix the error like NicoDE told you. How are we supposed to help you, if you do not read the advice?
I can only say like in Gothic 3 " we owe so much!"
mega thanks - it works perfectly now!
will u implement other your work like "blink zauber" to gothic 1?
also thanks for new Lego 2.5.0.
Nice, good to hear that it works now! Thank you for finding and reporting the incorrect information in the installation instructions. Now it should be easier for anyone to use GFA in Gothic 1.
In theory the blink spell can be ported to Gothic 1 with ease. The visual effects of the spell, however, have some properties that are specific to Gothic 2 and do not exist in Gothic 1, nor can they be emulated. Moving the target effect through the world with the mouse just wouldn't work nicely enough without these properties. This discourages me (= too much work, if even remotely possible) from doing it.
Was denkst du?
