    I activated 32 CSAA in nvidia driver and gothic2 looks as good as in your screen shots, by the way FPS keeps the same after activation.
    With additional downsampling grass looks better and no impact on FPS too. And I can see nearly all of my inventory.
    Finaly I'm happy.

    Because it's a little bit off topic here I edit this post Guzz.
    The driver multi threading adds 5 FPS to me.
    But there must be a reason why this option is not availiable by default.
    I will leave it off. For me 150% or 165% viewing range does not matter.

    .. The noises the hero makes when he is hurt or dies have changed. They now are in a different voice than his dialogues. By its sound I presume this "new" voice is the one from the English version. The voices of other characters are not affected...
    SystemPack does not change the game files.

    Nope. As I said before: No mods or further patches. It was a fresh installation (Gothic 1 & Player Kit, nothing else) and uninstalling SystemPack fixes it. Reinstalling it leads to the same issue. So this must be connected to SystemPack in some way.

    Gothic sounds placed into Speech.vdf and Sound.vdf.

    Gothic with original vdfs32g library used it from Sound.vdf, SystemPack used from Speech.vdf

    Now we search solution that problem.

    But I've noticed one little annoying thing in Gothic 1 with SystemPack. I play the German version of the game and have picked the corresponding option during the SystemPack installation. The noises the hero makes when he is hurt or dies have changed. They now are in a different voice than his dialogues. By its sound I presume this "new" voice is the one from the English version. The voices of other characters are not affected. This also is only the case in Gothic 1 and not in Night of the Raven with the corresponding SystemPack.
    Fix,

    Version: 1.0 (build: 0105, rev: 5)
    Changes Rev5:
    • Correction reverb sounds in the game:
      — Used for each sound with reverb implemented setting the individual parameters of these effects now sounds as close to the original - the logic implementation.
      — In file SystemPack.ini added parameter to adjust the reverb sound.
      [PARAMETERS]
      ReverbVolume=1.0

      ; ... The multiplier for volume reverberation, the higher the value, the louder the sound reflection effects. The default is 1.0.
      ; The volume of the reverb as a multiplier for all - relative reverb different sounds should be as in the original game.
    • Corrections in the work function vdf_searchfile:
      — The problem with the logic of the search for a filename incomplete, because that is not reproduced the sounds of death for Hero;
      — Error with incorrect selection of sound effects from the folder SPEECH, by having it in the folder SFX.
    • Fixes for Steam:
      — Downtime library using a different working directory of the game, instead of "..\Gothic II\System", - Steam should now apply correctly to run the game Gothic 2: Gold.
    • Because of errors found with some textures, parameter Disable_D3DVBCAPS_WRITEONLY, - file SystemPack.ini, now applied for the game "G1".

    Installation:
    1. Delete old version SystemPack uninstaller.
    2. Install new version.
    and start the game..

    Read the description of the modifications, and:
    Compatibility:
    G2Ext pack:
    — NO compatibility, correct gameplay and start of modifications based on this pack are impossible!
    Script packs - LeGo, Ikarus:
    — May not be compatible, correct gameplay and start of modifications based on these packs are not guaranteed. (Needs tests)
    Patches/fixes:
    — NO compatibility with all projects that use “straight” editing of original game exec files and/or replacing them with edited ones;
    — Correct work with patches and fixes that repair the same bugs which are repaired by System pack tools – NOT guaranteed!
    If the mod does not use scripting packages, etc. then there is no problem.

    Wenn das kein Pflichtdownload ist, den jeder sehen sollte, dann sollten die restlichen angepinnten Sachen ja wohl auch nicht der rede wert sein.

    MaGoth, first of all a big thank you for this utility.
    Secondly, do you plan on including bug-fixes for the games in future releases?
    Or reimplement the quicksave feature for Gothic I properly?

    You're talking about fixing bugs in a game: scripts, quests, etc?
    In the future, it is quite possible, since this was earlier is scheduled. But when ready difficult to answer...

    And what specifically not comfortable with of this function work? Describe in detail, and we'll see whether it is possible fix it.

    Is this based on GEngine or is this something new? I'm asking because in the GEngine there still were some Bugs, like at one point I couldn't equip my bow and couldn't drop items.

    Hello

    I'm using the SystemPack for Gothic I for a few weeks now and I have to say it's really amazing!

    I would like to make this mandatory for future projects (if I will ever release them) however there is one thing holding me back:

    The SystemPack will not work with GothicMod.exe modified with NicoDE's FPS-Patch. Do you think, you can make SystemPack compatible with this exe version?

    I told a lot of people to install the fps patch and now they are stuck with a version that is not compatible with SystemPack (there is no easy uninstaller for the fps patch).

    Also SystemPack crashes if you click on "Cancel" in the error dialogue:

    Edit:

    A feature I would like to see is if a mod could overwrite the values in the SystemPack.ini. E.g. the options "SPAWN_INSERTRANGE" and "SPAWN_REMOVERANGE" could cause problems if set incorrectly.

    You've got a valid point there. The FPS-Patch is very essential, if not mandatory! I hope you can make it work with the patch.

    Guys, please re-read the SystemPack change log - this package removes the FPS limitation too (all modifications are made in RAM), and therefore may be incompatible with the NicoDE's FPS patch, which modifies the executable file on a disk. Therefore, I can't see a reason to ensure SystemPack compatibility with the older FPS patch.

    Yes I know that. However a lot of Gothic I players will have installed the fps patch by now and are stuck with the modified GothicMod.exe.

    The easiest way to get back the original GothicMod.exe is to reinstall the Player-Kit again however I think many players won't understand why they have to install it yet again and skip it. In the end they will complain that my mod or the SystemPack is broken.

    Trust me, I have watched Orcades let's plays where people failed to set up the most simple things and then complain that the mod is broken.

    The fps patch probably changes just a few characters, it will likely work out of the box if the CRC values of this GothicMod.exe are added to the startup check.
