Maybe for some of you this is old news, but I just discovered a RPG game called Raven's Cry. You play as a pirate, you can fight with swords and guns, do quests, sail with you own ship, you can control your ship, fire the canons and so on.

Has anybody played this game? Is it worth buying it?

Most reviews I read say it’s cra... erm... not so good.

The ship battles are said to be the highlight of the game, everything else is disappointing. Unless you’re into trash movies like the Evil Dead series. I mean, this game has a worse metacritic score than Arcania and Forsaken Gods.

Why join the navy when you can be a pirate?

Anyway... foobar was right, from what I've seen in some yt videos, this game has nice sea battles, but that's all.
