uuups! Sorry! Was not thinking that this forum might be so well known.
I still do not believe you did use the right search strings.... But anyway...
Also, why does it need a dual core fix? It works fine on my hexacore CPU.....
I am not a pro, but this is what I have found out: without dual core fix Fallout only uses one core of your CPU. With dual core fix it uses two cores of your CPU.

You need the dual core fix, otherwise the game will crash frequently. At least it did for me, and a lot of other players. I definitely recommend applying it.
Did you think those ancient phrases were mere words, Manfool? Look at me!

Oh I see thanks, I will watch that playlist....

The last time I played Fallout 3 was a few years ago on my Intel Core 2 DUO E6750 cpu + GTS 250 + 8GB RAM + Windows XP 64-bit and I haven't recalled experiencing a crash, maybe I was lucky? .....and that's a dual core cpu chip too....now, I run windows 7 64-bit + Intel Core i7-3970x + 64GB RAM + SLi 770s...haven't played much only maybe a few minutes of it coz I had other things to do.....will come back to it and continue my save file from a few years ago that I haven't finished yet...lol ...and I guess I'll see how crash prone the game is on a hexacore cpu....without any mods or patches, just vanilla game of the year edition.

Suppose I'll report back after I finish the game or the crashing becomes annoying...hahaha....
