Unfortunately, there was no sign of the new Mass Effect project during last weekend’s VGX show. We absolutely know that the game exists, and there have been plenty reports concerning the setting and which races will be featured within the game. It’s known but not announced, and according to the GM of BioWare Edmonton and Montreal, Aaryn Flynn, the “hope” is that we’ll see something solid from the title in 2014.
Wait, what? That’s the hope? That’s at least according to Flynn’s Twitter account, as he responded pessimistically to a fan question regarding Mass Effect 4 just this morning.

With the latest Dragon Age project deep into development and the existence of some unannounced Star Wars game, it’s easy to assume that BioWare’s full plate is pushing back the development of a new space opera.
Either way, the game exists. And if all goes well, we might just see something from it sooner rather than later
