BioWare GM Hopes Mass Effect 4 Info Comes Sometime in 2014

Unfortunately, there was no sign of the new Mass Effect project during last weekend’s VGX show. We absolutely know that the game exists, and there have been plenty reports concerning the setting and which races will be featured within the game. It’s known but not announced, and according to the GM of BioWare Edmonton and Montreal, Aaryn Flynn, the “hope” is that we’ll see something solid from the title in 2014.

Wait, what? That’s the hope? That’s at least according to Flynn’s Twitter account, as he responded pessimistically to a fan question regarding Mass Effect 4 just this morning.

With the latest Dragon Age project deep into development and the existence of some unannounced Star Wars game, it’s easy to assume that BioWare’s full plate is pushing back the development of a new space opera.

Either way, the game exists. And if all goes well, we might just see something from it sooner rather than later

Mass Effect 4 News Possibly Coming Later This Month

As it stands we don't know much about the next Mass Effect but more information may be on the way soon according to BioWare General Manager Aaryn Flynn.

Of course that doesn't mean we should expect news but it indeed be a nice surprise to hear something about the game.

At the moment there is some reason to believe that the game will be a sequel to the Commander Shepard trilogy. In November, on N7 Day, a celebration of the series, BioWare developers also posted a series of screens and concept art for the game which gave little away.

The game does not even have a title as of yet with former BioWare community manager Chris Priestly saying using the name 'Mass Effect 4' is a "disservice" but as it stands we don't have anything else to call it.

Whatever the game is ultimately named, the next Mass Effect is being developed on the Frostbite 3 engine but does not have a release window or launch platforms announced.

Flynn has previously said that he "hopes" there be more information to share on the game in 2014.

Flynn also confirmed on Sunday that their vision of the next Mass Effect title will be to create a game such as large and ambitious as they are currently tackling with Dragon Age: Inquisition. Bioware doesn’t only hope to make the next Dragon Age title feature a larger landmass for players to explore, but the developer hopes to provide bigger game systems for other aspects of the title such as tactical combat, more playable races, and the addition of mounts to the franchise for the first time. This expansion of the game’s base mechanics can also be expected from Mass Effect fans for the next game in the series.

Da wir den Link schon entfernt haben, in Zukunft bitte keine "News" mehr von motoringcrunch.com posten. Das ist ne Schundseite die zu ME eine Falschmeldung nach der andren raushaut. Oder noch besser keine Seite posten die keinen Quellen nachweis haben, außer es ist ein Gerücht (eines "Insiders").

Ok, ich hab gemerkt welche wellen es schlagen kann, aber ich muss sagen nach 1/2 jahre Pause muss ich erst einmal wieder herein finden in die news suche außerdem kann ich kein Englisch, und weiß auch nicht wie der aktuelle stand von Mass Effect 4 ist aber ich zukunft werde ich diese besagte seite meiden, doch eines möchte ich sagen, keiner kann wissen ob es gerüchte oder der Wahrheit entsprechen, denn ich hab das mit der Beta auch geklaubt, weil es auch Deutsche seiten es schrieben, soviel dazu

Schon ok und wir sind auch froh, suchst du so fleissig.


Das Problem ist, sie nehmen die Twittermeldung von Aaryn Flyn betreffend der internen Demo die er gespielt hat und behaupten, dass das heisst, dass ME4 schon sehr bald auf den Markt kommt und auch eine Beta vor dem Release kommen wird. Das ist extrem viel in eine Twitter-Zeile hineininterpretiert.

Und aufgrund der aktuellen Infolage einfach viel zu viel hineininterpretiert mit ordentlich viel Wunschdenken dabei.
