    Poor FPS with GTX 690

    Hello dear Gothic fans.

I recently bought a new gaming computer and life was good untill i installed Gothic 2 NOTR. I get about 60 FPS in doors and out doors about 11-20 (And to pint out when i look down at the ground outdoors i get 60 FPS) . Is there any way to boost the FPS or to tweak the .ini? I got no clue how to tweak them myself...
I have the latest Nvidia Drivers.

    Things i've tried so far.

    - I've tried the ATI fix without any improvments

    - I've modified the line. zFarClipAlphaFade=1 and set it to zFarClipAlphaFade=0 without any improvments.

    Any help will be appriciated.

Note i installed the Offical 2.6 Patch and have Gothic II Community Patch v2.10 installed.

    - I've tried the ATI fix without any improvments
This trick can be applied to the ATI/AMD drivers on the Windows XP only.

I have the latest Nvidia Drivers.
You haven't the latest NVIDIA drivers because you have a 310.70 BETA driver (9.18.13.1070). The latest WHQL driver is 310.90.

    Maybe it may help you:
    1. Try upgrade your BETA drivers to the WHQL ones.
    2. Try to disable vertical synchronization for the Gothic II application: NVIDIA Control Panel -> 3D Parameters Control -> Software Settings -> Gothic 2 -> Vertical Synchronization -> Off (I don't know how it looks precisely in the English version).
    3. Try to reinstall Gothic 2 Community Patch v2.10 WITHOUT NVIDIA-Win7 workaround (it can be applied for the NVIDIA drivers older than 260th series only) and Textures pack created by Colmar.
    4. Try to lower Gothic 2 performance settings from the maxed out to default.

If Dimus advice doesn't help solving the problem, maybe benchmark programm SiSoft Sandra Lite 2013 can give you a clue about what is wrong.
Everything is relative... until it bites.

Why would you buy a GTX690 to use on a 1680x1050 resolution monitor?

Since you said that your max framerate caps at 60 it probably means that VSYNC is most likely turned on (then again I don't remember G2's max FPS). Do what Dimus said and see if it solves the issue.
Running the game in compatibility mode is also worth a shot. Try using WinXP/.ME or 2000 modes and check.
