Need help from a greek member:)

Hello,a song is bugging me for some time and i want to understand a phrase from it.

    It's the famous http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UoVnZN4dqdU Kathy Garby-Elefteria.

I understood from some sites that she sings about how she is sad because her lover is always talking about "his" future and not "theirs" as a couple and she says that she is tired of playing hide and seek and then she tells him the catch phrase of the song:

Ftou Kai Xelefteria <--- i hope it's right. Also in Greek it is: Φτου και ξελευτερία

I want to know exactly what that phrase means,i understand it's something you say at the end of the counting process in a hide and seek game, much like:"ready or not here i come",or like the romanian:"cine nu e gata,il iau cu lopata".But what is the exact english translation?

    Thank you in advance

It is NOT the equivalent to "ready or not here I come". It's what the rest of the players say when they make it to the "home base" without being spotted by the "boss" in hide 'n' seek.

Now, here's what it means literally:

Φτου (Ftou) is what Greeks say when they want to imitate the sound of spitting. Just like "boom" is for explosions, and "bang" for gunfire, well we use "ftou" for spitting.

Ξελευτερία (Xelefteria) = Ελευθερία (Eleftheria) means freedom

So Φτου και Ξελευτερία means: (spit) ..and freedom!

The equivalent to "ready or not, here I come" is "Φτου και βγαίνω" meaning "(spit) ..and I'm out" (stop counting).
