    Hello all . After many users on russian forums asked to make some mod for increasing very small font size inside inventory, I am tried to "read" compiled_fonts.bin. And now, thanks to bin format specification from NicoDE, it is possible to recompile it (compiled_fonts.bin).

    I am created small tool which you can use for reading & editing (or even adding new records) to compiled_fonts.bin.

    This utility can be used for changing ingame font or it's size. It is also possible to customize fonts for each game language.

    However, you can change font only by changing "*.xgfn" FileName in first column. Font size can be changed by changing font file name (for example from "Book Antiqua_12_bios.gfn" to "Book Antiqua_20_bios.gfn").

    In left side here is internal xfnt files, they all contain different font values & records. You can change values in every xfnt internal file and then save changes to bin file. It is not needed to save bin file after editing each xfnt internal file.

    You can specify game language for needed font in second column. Third column contain height size of screen resolutins (like 1024x768). That means, that you can specify font which will be used with some screen resolution (it's height). And last column contain bool variable - "DrawScale", you can set it only to "True" or "False".

    You can find compiled_fonts.bin inside "Risen2\data\compiled\library.pak" archive. Just extract it using Risenaut utility.

    After editing, compress it back to pak archive or copy to "C:\Users\ UserName \AppData\Local\Risen2\Config\" folder. Then game will use new file.

    As I can see, inventory fonts located inside "FNT_Trajan_Small/Medium/Large.xfnt" internal files.

    Is there any chance of you making other Editors for the rest (or at least some) of the compiled bins? Like for the controls with the gamepad etc?

    As I know, Nico works with bins. You should ask that here - http://forum.worldofplayers.de/forum...2-Quest-Export

    Sorry that I dig up this old post.


    Is there a way to use this tool for the Risen 1 compiled_fonts.bin file? When opening the file the tool says "Out of memory".

    I want to increase the font size (the ingame text of item- / NPC names are too tiny to read in 4K)... The rest of the GUI scales correctly.

    I tried using a HEX editor, but I have no idea which lines I have to edit...
