This thread aims to discuss and develope (post process) shader modifications.
Contrary to Risen 1 all shader files has been compiled. There are still seperate files for each post process effect (f.e. bloom, dof, hdr) but (some?) of those get overwritten by a single .bin file that covers multiple effects - to the current state of knowledge. This makes it quite laborious to use different combinations of mods.

Here's the first modification.
It does change the crosshair size, color and shape of both the musket and shotgun.
Download: http://www.mediafire.com/?wadi889gt2ckspd (Download link updated, may 12th 2012)
Instruction: Download the .zip file and extract the included file to the following directory:
C:\User\*UserName*\AppData\Local\Risen2\Config\ (Windows Vista/7)
C:\Documents and Settings\*User Name*\Local Settings\Application Data\Risen2\ (Windows XP)

Thumbs up
Btw: At least for Win7 you can use %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Risen2 or C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Risen2.
When you hit [Windows-key]+R at the same time you can just copy the text and press [Enter], so you don't have to change anything!

There is a new version available, the mod does now also change the shotgun crosshair. Sorry for the inconvenience

I usually hate bloom and search for ways to disable it completely. In this game it's done the proper way, but I find the effect way too strong. Is there any way to tone it down a bit?
