Don't try to give us the bullshit about Windows 7, just return game controls to the default settings and remember that some actions in G1 works via CTRL + arrow (or WSAD) keys and LMB + arrow (or WSAD) keys only.

It took me some time to figure things out the first times I played the game.

But I succeeded after many hours. accidentally.

Picking up items in gothic 1 works by holding down the action key(default should be ctrl or LMB) + Forward(W or ^arrow)
