Donate and help create the best game in many frickin' years (completely subjective of course but man do I want a good old school RPG with a modern twist).

Cool. I have never played Wasteland but this project is not exactly everyday occurrence in the gaming scene, is it? I mean, a sequel being developed to a 24 years old EA-owned game by an independent studio AND one of the designers of the original game.

Reign of Fire isn't a post-nuclear apocalypse.
Although they did use nukes in an attempt to stop the dragons.

There's just so many projects out there now, enough where Kickstarter deserves its own thread. I have pledged for 3 games so far:

I also saw a kickstarter event for a new Shadowru, like Stalagmite... The problem is just that many people are trying to fund something via that page. On the one hand it is somehow awesome. On the other it is strange.

Jordan Weisman; founder of FASA, Virtual World Entertainment, FASA Interactive, Wizkids, 42 Entertainment, Smith & Tinker, and creator of BattleTech / MechWarrior, Shadowrun, and Crimson Skies.
And while CGL (Shadowrun's IP holders) aren't directly connected to the project, they do make use of the current writers of the Shadowrun franchise.
Also, I expect the game to be PC/Xbox only since M$ holds the digital rights to the franchise.
Or did M$ release mobile phones all of a sudden?
And I doubt that M$ would license them use the digital rights to Shadowrun for apple products.
The same way that MechWarrior: 3019 (if it wasn't been canceled) would be for PC/Xbox only.

Well to be honest I never played the first Wasteland but since it's from the original Fallout creator it can't be that bad. So I'm kinda looking forward to Wasteland 2 'cause I like post apocalyptic settings as well als rpgs.

Yeah I'm in the Wasteland > Fallout camp as well. Wasteland is probably my favorite computer game of all time. The only thing that kills it is the graphics, and W2 aims to set that bar to proper.

It's the only weak point of the game, the severely outdated graphics, which is just as important as everything else IMO.
