The story narrates about Alaster and Marik, new heroes who plunged into adventure. They decided to make their life of idleness in Vanguard more varied and exciting. Searching of an ancient treasure was their main purpose but the destiny has her own thoughts on them. So they will get a lot more than originally planned.
The Alaster diary says about start of their journey:
For the first time the legend of the Black sword, the source of powerful magic, I've heard in the capital of Myrtana at a Vanguard port tavern. Tipsy pirate tell that story to us but it was so incredible that we did not believe him. Afterwards another people were talking about this weapon and it gradually became clear that this sword does exist, but no one of departing in search of that sword returned. So we have only guesswork and rumors. One day we’ve got a map of the ancient temple location where the former owner of the Black Sword was buried. We as true treasure hunters set out in search of the Black Sword. If I knew where I will lead this search, I probably would have just burned the map, but the gods have another plan...
Alaster got into the island where Temple of the Scull is located. But mean pirates trapped him. He and Marik were captured after short fight and then they were sent into the mine, which is ruled by its harsh laws, and where life is worth no more than couple of pieces of ore. If you want to know what will be next you need to play this mod.
Locale:
Action will take place on the large island. Chroniclers said that the island has unique culture. Wreckage of the ancient great civilization of Ferocians hides many secrets. There is large magic ore deposit what is needed both the paladins and orcs. Ore mine with hundreds of slaves is located near the ancient Temple of Scull. Cruel pirates attacked civilian ships and orcs pay gold for captured men.
The rest of Ferocians are hiding in the forest at their secret camp. In spite of their small quantity they are not broken and they hope to liberate their lands from invaders.
What is included in mod:

1. Worlds:
- large island with quest places;
- three-leveled ore mine;
- ancient fort dungeons with several levels;
- the Temple of Scull;
- small story location.
2. Guilds and fractions: There are 5 fractions in the mod with unique quests. You can become a member any of them.
- slaves;
- orc mercenary;
- Ferocian hunters;
- paladins;
- pirates.
3. Models and animations:
- huge amount of new animations for people, monsters and orcs;
- several new monsters;
- new MOBSI-objects (interactive items, for example anvil or book stand).
4. Music, sound and video:
- all characters are voiced;
- new tracks for worlds;
- new video. Composer Vladislav Redkin (also known as Munruthel) took his part in soundtrack creation. Creator of music group named CHUR Eugene Kucherov was involved in voicing and music score creation of the mod.
You need licensed version of the game Gothic 2: Night of the Raven from Akella (RUS). In case of another version of the game (for example you have another Publisher version or localization: English, German, or etc.) you need to launch fix for executing file gothic2.exe before mod installation. Report-Versionen: Gothic2.exe v2.6(fix)
This fix installation is strictly necessary for owners of Windows Vista and Windows Seven.
Note: It is strongly recommended to launch this mod on the licensed version of Gothic 2 Night of the Raven. G2Ext tool is integrated into this mod in the executing file Gothic2.exe. Marvin Mode is deactivated.
b) Report-Versionen: Gothic2.exe v2.6(fix) – fixed version of 'Gothic2.exe'. This file required for mod launching.
c) “Blood Mode” activation – for turning off this mode you need to switch parameter 'bloodDetail' from '3' to '2' in Gothic.ini at the game directory.
Follow the instructions.
Attention!!!
- MDK installation is not needed.
- Starting with the modifications to produce a desktop shortcut, or from a file DarkSaga.exe, located in the folder SagaExt (folder will be created during installation).
- In GothicStarter you information about a mod do not find it. If you try to start the game with GothicStarter you have just crash the game.
DarkSaga_fix-1.0.0.1.exe:
It fixed problem when main hero can’t get into paladin’s camp and stuck in storyline. Bug-fix installation is strictly required. You do not need to start a new game.
Bug-fix installation guide:
- Run the installer and follow the instructions.
- Play.
If there is any errors during installation you need to move file DarkSaga.mod from directory ..\Gothic II\Data
to directory ..\Gothic II\Data\modvdf
and run installer again.
I saw the screenshots and the vid. This mod looks so good( new moves, shield, new textures ).
Will there be some kind of english translation in the future? I think it will be difficult for me since I can't talk rus ;(

Yes, so that only two can be.

btw, some off topic - I haven't installed this mod yet, but I always have some problems with Russian language mods (well, it might be funny ) - when during a game dialogue box appears on screen (for example - my character speaks to guard and everything they say to each other is shown in a text box) it dissapears very quickly and I'm not able to read so fast!
so my question would be - is there a way to change this somehow in game files or whatever (I have no clue about programming ) to make this happen slower or for example only by clicking mouse

Unfortunately, audio stream and the output text information is only the game engine.

well, MaGoth probably could tell you approximately how many text lines there are in this mod and then you would understand that to translate whole mod u gonna need quite a big team of translators. I remember I was one of those guys who tried to translate another russian mod - Returning. unfortunately most of dudes lost their interest and patience first of all
