What do you mean ? ... "where do I saw the ??? found in the guard house" ... ?
Sawing is only for fun. It does not influence the gameplay nor bring anything (e.g. no strength bonus).

Playing on the musical instruments isn't included into the list of the hero's talents. But the some NPCs in a town can do it, for example, Mo plays on a fiddle, the seaman and the prostitute plays on a cockleshell.
