Two weeks ago, we released an update for the Content Mod.
Today, i will release it for everyone who wants it for the english version.
We made a lot of bugfixes an improvments.
You have to start a new game!
Gothic 3 – Content Mod v2.3
This modification enlarges Gothic 3 in special areas.
In the main new items and little balancing-changes were reinserted.
The aim of the mod is, to enlarge the game-experience and to make the game more like its predecessors.
General
- The Content Mod is a modification for Gothic 3.
- You can’t play the mod without Community-Patch 1.74 and the Questpacket 4.2.
- It doesn’t give a guarantee for a faultless modification.

The installation happens of at your own risk. We won’t take over adhesion. for potential problems after the installation.

The compatibility
The Content Mod …
… is just compatible with the main-game Gothic 3
… is not compatible with the Gothic 3 Addon „Forsaken Gods“
… is compatible with the Community-Patch 1.74
… can’t be played without the Questpacket 4.2
… has been adjusted on the Alternative Balancing from Community-Patch 1.70
… is just compatible with texture-modifications

The installation
Installation order:
Gothic3
CP1.74
QP4.2
CM2.3
You can install the modification with this Installer. You must accept the licence-regulation.
The Installer normally searches the installationfolder automatic. The installtionfolder must be the Gothic 3 folder. It will check, if the Questpacket is installed.
A new game must be started if ….
… the CM is installed at the first time.
… a older version of the CM was updated, because it could come to problems
… the CM was uninstalled
You can install separate mods with the Installer, for example, when you just want to install the textures or sounds from the CM..
Please look, that you have min. 230 MB on your hard disk.
If you want to install other contents additional , than you must uninstall the modifications and then reinstall with the Installer.

The uninstalling
You can uninstall the CM with the „Uninstall_CM_2.3.exe“.
This data is in the „Gothic 3“ file.
When you have install the game „without QP quests“ and want to play with the QP 4.2 now, than you must uninstall the CM2.3 and then reinstall with the contents you want.
The condition of the QP will restore, if you uninstall the CM 2.3.
When the Content Mod 2.3 will uninstall, you must start a new game, cause big problems can happen.

Three new texture sets:
There are pictures of the new textures in with installed folder "CM_Bilder" which can be
extinguished after the installation again.
The folder is in the Gothic 3 installation directory.
Should you not like the textures, you can uninstall them any time again.
In addition the CM2.3 uninstall and afterwards install over again, with the well-chosen additional installations.
"_compiledImage.m01" for the assassins textures
"_compiledImage.m02" for the civil textures
"_compiledImage.m03" for the mercenaries
These Mod puts the status of the citizens Myrtanas (i.e. fishermen, hunters, landlords, alchemists, traders) in the cities from "Orc follower" on "Neutrally".
Therefore none of these NPC's fights more for the Orcs if it comes to a revolution.
By this modification is able to one receives in the HUD, according to choice, a compass or not. In addition, the life, Mana and perseverance announcement are reduced.
This modification adds to the play a new Orc kind which is known from Gothic 2.
Besides, the Orcs are changed in Nordmar and with Vengard.
"Mountains-Orcs" are completely new textured and give a nice nostalgic feeling with the play.
In addition, the appearance this Orcs is explained by two anew provided documents.
The Gothic 3 font is substituted with a little more curved version.
A picture of the font is in with installed folder "CM_Bilder".
If You do not like the font, you can exchange it easily again.
In addition adjust the file in with installed folder "Backup Font" in the Gothic 3 folder and headline the old Gothic3.ttf file. The folder is in the Gothic 3 directory.
Should there be some problems with the representation of the fonts, simply delete the connection to Gothic 3 font from the folder "C: \Windows\Fonts". Then everything should as function again as planned. If you install now still the alternative font of Gothic 3 (simply the Windows folder open and pull the Gothic 3 alternative font in the folder Fonts), then it is also shown in God's Dusk perfectly and wonderfully.
"New Menu"
A quite simply held menu which reminds very strongly of Gothic 1.
If You do not like the menu, you can exchange it easily again.
In addition extinguish the file "gui.m01" in "Gothic3\Data" folder.
"New Shout Noises" (Made By lichtwicht \ Feuerbarde)
More realistic dying sounds of the NPC's.
If You do not like the sounds, you can exchange them easily again.
In addition extinguish the file "Speech_German.m00" in "Gothic3\Data" folder.
The monster noises from Gothic 2.
Simply contributes to the mood. If You do not like the sounds, you can exchange them easily again. In addition extinguish the file "Sound.mod" in "Gothic3\Data" folder.
This is the best g3 mod ever created I love the new mail armor like elite orc models(vengard). I just want to know if there is a way to change the friendly elite orc models(guards in montera etc.) to look like the hostile ones?
Finally a new version and exactly on time as I lost all my saves
But, I would like to know the exact difference with CM2.2
Do I need to uninstall CM2.2 or everything before installing CM2.3?
It should be better, if you uninstall only CM 2.2 before installing the new CM 2.3
I have sent the changelog for CM 2.3 from the german forum through the Google Translator and have slightly improved the result.
A new feature is the possibility, to set all armors faction free !

In CM2.2 they did wear hunters armor, so... hmm; interesting.
Alright, downloaded the file, as I couldnt find the CM2.2 files, I installed it as well.
Weird that is, because it cant be the first time I install CM, as I saw the new hunter armor.

I see his halberd, I can't see his body. I cant walk through him and I dont see his name;

I would like to take a moment to thank you for this.Oddly,only now have I downloaded it and QP4.2,both of which have whetted my appetite for playing G3 again
why is it better to uninstall CM2.2 and THEN install 2.3? i mean wouldn't it be better to install 2.3 over 2.2? cause the 2.2 one have the previous things aswell and i already have 2.2 on my gothic 3 so why 2.2 and 2.3 is not cumulative? or stack?
In CM2.3 some english description are a little short,i.e:
ITEMDESC_It_Recipe_Ore__Arrow=Ore Arrow;;;;;;Pfeil mit einer Spitze aus Eisen vermischt mit magischem Erz. Dadurch wird der Pfeil enorm Durchschlag kr閶恡ig.;;;
With google translation, I guess the German sentence mean "With the Ore head, the arrow can cause serious magic damage." or something alike.

Nevertheless, thanks for the MOD. I've downloaded QP4.2 and CM2.2, translated the added content into Chinese and enjoy them. I'm just planning to translate CM2.3 if I can understand more of it.
i need some sort of program to run CM2.3 for gothic 3
russification for the new CM2.3 is needed for me to play gothic 3 russian version cause after the install i have no sound, no voices, no subtitles not any Font! everything is blank and silent even death of npcs or shouts not present. however russification 2.2 worked perfectly with the CM2.2 but not good with the new CM2.3 the russian speech is preset and heard but the german voices gone. Dimus you have any news?
Why does Lardo exist, he isnt profitable.

PS: idea for an extra quest; there are 7 wolves or so beneath Jack's lighthouse, near the place you first meet Lester. Can't there be a quest related to them. Does Lardo exist because of QP, or CM?

Of course you can. Knight's armor or Morra's armor you can make yourself, Dragon hunter armor you can find in inventory of the dead pirate on the long island near Bakaresh.

AFAIK if you want to hear a mix of English (G3) and German (QP) speeches, you can convert speeches file. Possible variants:

- Speech_English.pak + Speech_English.mod (converted from the Speech_German.mod), English speeches is activated.
- Speech_German.pak (converted from the Speech_English.pak) + Speech_German.mod, German speeches is activated.
For the speeches file conversion you'll get the following utility (the detailed instruction how operate with it is in a ReadMe_en.txt file).
Don't forget to verify that following strings in a file mountlist.ini are present:
Important note: if during CM 2.3 installation you've selected English language then file Speech_German.mod (339 Mbytes) is replaced with an empty one (100 bytes). To avoid this changeover you should reinstall QP 4.2 and during CM 2.3 installation you must select German (Deutsch) language.
