I instead of that like this drawing more. Knights are boooriing, but rangers are cool :). I'm not myself a nearly as good artist as you are so pardon my humble suggestion :). Imo those foots could do some improvents, like adding some detail (like making more visible what kind of boots he is wearing). The upper body, bow and face is really well drawn.

A bit offtopic but piranhas SHOULD use this sketch as a reference material for gothic 3. I really adore this ranger design. its a shame that hero's hair is on ponytail in game (god I hate the ponytail). It should roam FREE like in this picture. And lets not even start disscussing how cool hoods are. :p

Thanks for your apreciation, and I agree with you about the boots. I just hadn't patience to detail them ^^ I also like the loose/freelancer style, and I think PB could make a good guildless style for the hero.

It's impossible to make that image with brushes... I used an image, worked on the effects, on the blending options, on the number of layers... and some other things.

Actually, no, my friend. I simply took a photo of each with my digital camera and then I uploaded them on www.Imageshack.us. I do not posess a scanner, but this works just as fine.

Ok... from now on I am gonna say what you guys did wrong and what must be improved. Just like other people tell that to me. :D

@SirPaladin: Every wallpaper has to have a central point. In your case, I assume that The Prince is the central point. If that is true, and by looking at the Vizier, who is almost next to the Prince, I noticed that he is too small. I know that maybe you are trying to give us the impression that he's in the back, but his feet are almost at the same level with the Prince's feet, which contradics the fact that the Vizier is in the back.
Also... those small images of Farah and of the Prince's father shouldn't be there. Those are the ones who ruin the wallpaper the most. Sure, you can put those, but try to do it in a more elegant way... maybe in a corner... not on the Prince's head so to speak. And the body of the Kind intrerups at the chest... that makes it even weirder.
And last, but not least... you need to work on the cuts... by looking at the wallpaper you can see that the cuts aren't perfect.
Just keep on practicing and you will make some fine wallpapers. The wallpaper is not bad, but those are the problems that need fixing.

@Faby: Not much to say... it looks good... except for that big shadow that you can see in the middle. What's with that? I am sure that the wallpaper would look perfect without it. But yeah... your best work till now. I agree.

Well, the Vizier is meant to be in the IMAGINATION of the prince, like the other characters. You know, you cannot say someone`s imagination is weird or something like that...but anyway, thanks for the tips...

Nice... I didn't think of that one. But have you tried to make some sort of outer glow? That would clearly indicate that it's his imagination. And make him more transparent. It would look great.

Don't get this wrong. Does anyone on this forum know Macromedia Fireworks? There are types of graphics Photoshop (or ImageReady) don`t do as good-looking. Actually, Fireworks is rather for drawing.

Some of the armors drawn by you are a little bit civilized for my liking and they kinda remind me Oblivion. Especially the helmets. If you have time, try to make some really rough and rusty armors. With chains, spikes and stuff, whatever you would like to use.:p Swords were VERY cool.:dup:

I think the best was the Skeletal Mage with a Shadowbeast. ^^

this is great wallpaper. I am just wondering how can you make such things with computer programs...i dont know to use these programs almost at all.
I got photostudio 5.5 and man, i dont have any idea about making color photos with grafic quality with shadows,shiny things etc...:confused:
2 are the explanations: Either this is very easy way due to some tools or it is very hard.
I dont know. People who make Artworks use these programs...maybe it is easier from drawing things on a real paper with a pencil like i do§cry

Now... about your abstract painting, it's cool. You can use it as a background for one of your sigs. And I think this is the right place to post it.

Hmmm... first of all, you need a good program. I use Adobe Photoshop CS2. You can try it for free for one month. All you need to do is to download the tryout version. Now... Let's take this wallpaper for example. I had to use 3 images. Image no. 1 was the background, which originaly looked like this (http://img117.imageshack.us/img117/7091/assassinscreedpwip187130ys.jpg). Now... since this game isn't out yet, there aren't that many artworks available. So I opened the trailer and took a few screenshots. From all, I picked one with the bird (http://img63.imageshack.us/img63/6285/bscap00073rk.jpg) and one with Altair (http://img45.imageshack.us/img45/9163/bscap01542np.jpg). After deciding on the pics, I took the background and tried to make it a bit different. I added another layer and set it to overlay I think ( but I'm not sure ). Then, after extracting the pic of Altair and the pic of the bird, I worked on the Adjustement Layer. I tried to make both pics of the same colors as the background. I then added those 2 on the background. Changed a bit the luminosity and the contrast and I was almost finished. Finally, I added the logo. It took 2 hours to cut that logo. Anyway, I posted the .png version on the forum so that anyone can use it. But the problem with the logo was that the word Assassin's was black, the same as the background. The only solution that I could find at that time was to work on the layers blending. I chose the outer glow option; set the layer's transparency to 75% and it was done.
For me it's not that difficult to make a wallpaper like this, but a few months ago it was impossible. All you have to do is to practice, because practice makes it perfect.
I also like to draw. That is why, my new objective is to learn how to color my own drawings.

warrior siren...I like what you did with her hair... It is so thin and detailed, you always like to work in very high details. Everything you do you do it to be perfect. A thing I'd like to remark at that small dagger...It would have looked better if it had more twists, I mean you made only 2 twists. I hope you get what I tried to say. :)
