G1: Hvy rogue/Hvy Mercenary???(armor)

Wich armor should I buy because I'd like to have good armor in 1st chapter, but I'll nvr have enough ore to buy both, won't I?

And I think Crawler Plate Armor is better the the mercenaries armor, so that would make it easily useless the mercenaries armor.:(
(Why is the Crawler armor in G2 so 'bad':mad:)

What do you recommend??

i think that you cant buy those armors in chapter1, especially heavy mercinary armor

how? you can't join mercenaries until chapter 3 or 4, i cant remember. If i remember correctly, you have an option to choose between thos armors, but once you choose lets say hm armor, npc says that you cant get it yet, or smth like that. Ut seems that ive forgot a lot

You can join the mercenaries at the beginning of 3rd chaper (or the end of 2nd chapter...hmm,i pretty forgot :D). thats what im talking about:p. Yeah, i know about medium ones, but i got pretty surprised when he said that you can buy heavy armors in C1. What game did i play, i asked myself :D

Script analysis shows that:
- you can join to mercenaries at the end of the 2nd chapter (when you deliver eggs to Cor Kalom) and get the light mercenary armor;
- you can buy medium mercenary armor in the 3rd chapter (or get it in the 4th chapter if you join to mercenaries after ban from the Old Camp);
- you can buy heavy mercenary armor in the 4th chapter.

I did, or atleast it displayd it when I talked to Lee when O asked him for better armor...
( I could have joined mercs before MC queen, even before CH2:):p:D)
But I stayed rogue, because of Mordrag's quest:p

I was lvl 10 when I asked Lee to join, and he agreed.:p:D
And I talked to him asked for better armor and I could choose between hvy/med armor:p
Then I loaded a save where I weren't merc and continued being rogue:p
Now I have light rogue armor and going to Kalom to bring him eggs:)

I've did it before in an unmodded game.
All you need is lvl 10+.

He shows it, but won't give it to you unless you've proven yourself.
The heavy armour has a hard limit of chapter 4+.
The medium is available before you head off to the ork cemetary.

That's the biggest problem in Gothic 1. :p
Roter Wind can be gotten by knocking down Cor Angars afaik.
There's a couple of rusty two-handers in a chest near Stone, maybe some light two-handers too, kinda forgot.
There's a Blutscheide in a locked room underneath the castle in the old camp.
And there's also a rachestahl in the ork camp in some caves with prison cells (use scrolls of bloodfly to get in/out). Probably the strongest two-hander you can find laying about.

Damn those swords, I haven't learn't the 2H-skill at all yet, and I ain't master of 1H, 84STR, I have 60LP left to spend, I'm lvl 17/18; Should I w8 till I can learn all circles? Or should I learn one of the 'Sword-skills ?

How can I get Red Wind without cheating?? Cor Angar is invincible and the templers attack me, if I attack him, but if I'm down too they don't attack me again.:p(So If I just could knock him down...)

Edit: I want to learn 2H-master, and 3 STR; 100-70-3=27LP left:(

Yes and no. You have to be lvl 10+, you have to be a rogue, and you can't talk to Lee before you've become a rogue and are lvl 10+. If you talk to Lee before you are a rogue and are lvl 10+ the option to become a merc doesn't appear till later.

Just a side note for anyone who might be interested. If you are lvl 10+ and a rogue get the quest from Cronos before you talk to Lee and become a merc. Cronos only gives the quest to deliver a message to the fire mages to rogues. He won't give it to you if you are a merc.
